My Happy Place
On Wednesday December 9th I took some time away from from my work and went online to read my local weekly newspaper. We had long since stopped having a physical copy delivered - a sign of these digital times, however I thought it would be nice to catch up with what was going on in my local area. Five minutes in to aimlessly flicking through a plethora of adverts, I was about to give up, nothing seemed to be happening In my hometown of Bromsgrove, I debated whether to give up and check what Piers Morgan was ranting about on Twitter, when I thought I'll just plough on to the end. When I came to the announcements page I briefly scanned the births, deaths and marriages. Having worked in the library in Bromsgrove for over twenty years I knew a fair amount of people and was wondering if there was anybody I knew. As I glanced at the page a name caught my eye and made my heart go slightly faster. My brain however told me that all though I knew the name it could not be the person I knew. I went back to the name and read the announcement, I knew the name of the person who I had died and his age and date of birth. It was somebody who had gone to school with and grown up with but had not seen for about 20 years. He had died unexpectedly at the age of 49. I was shocked, Immediately a flood of memories came back to the forefront of my mind and I became quite emotional. I checked with a friend on Facebook and he confirmed the news.

How to Avoid Burnout and Stay on Track with Your Goals
It’s not surprising in this digital era that we find more and more people get burnout so easily. I feel like there’s a huge need for us to be consistently productive all the time, keep producing our best work, and because of the overload expectations, we tend to feel guilty when we take a break.

Kris Summers AKA Madgalkris
Kris Summers, famously known as madgalkris, is a professional Model, musical artist, and entrepreneur. I came a long way thought the years but with the good there came the bad. If it wasn’t for my several encounters with the law I wouldn’t be where I am today. Not that they were good in anyway, but they were learning lessons that led me in a good positions. I was just about 18 when I was a college student and working a 9-5 job. I was locked up in jail. Once I got out I ad no job and was extremely worried about what to do next. I then eventually got a club job where I was able to make a lot of connections with celebs and popular people in the city. From working in the club for two years I was then offered music video jobs to be a guest appearance, I was asked to model for popular clothing brands. My uniqueness on instagram went viral and I became a influencer that a lot of the younger crowd looked up too. I launched my own waist shaping company that allowed me tome over 8 figures. I became a entrepreneur and my own boss at the same.

Thoughts Of The Day
Life has a way to stump you and make you feel like there is no other option but to beg for a second chance. Sometimes life tells you that you must prove yourself everyone, to go and take risk, to open your doors to anyone that needs help, and then life gets the better of you because you have way too much baggage’s to cope with all the responsibilities.

Embracing Winter
It's officially Winter, hurrah!!! Slow down. Rest. Revive. Renew. I love this time of year, this phase in the turning seasons, the Wheel of the Year. The time for resting, passivity, the conserving of energy, the beauty in the stillness and silence. The darkness. And the awareness of all that lies beneath, quietly restoring itself.

Consistency sucks
I've never been very good at being consistent, so instead, I'll just work on things that I am good at. that being just writing random shit and seeing what actually sticks. Lately, I've found that my best writing comes from when I stop trying to force some coherent word juice from my brain and just start typing something. In the end, if what I write is bad then who cares I can just try again tomorrow until something good happens. Anyways below you'll find some captions for the artwork I've made recently with the captions that I made at the moment to go alongside them. Do any of them make sense? How am I supposed to know lol? Read them or don't I do not care, see ya later folks.

Beware The Double-edged Sword of Literacy
When I grew up, everyone in my family was an avid reader, so I believed in the power of the written word. In our house, if you had a problem that you didn’t know how to solve, you went to the library and found the solution in a book. That’s probably why I’m so fond of self-help books.
