The Pink Cave
Home is my safe haven, even if I am the type of person that loves being out and about. Since my apartment is massive, there are a couple of places that I consider my “cozy corners”. My bedroom would have to be my “favourite and most used” cozy corner, because of my bed, cute decorations, sapphire blue curtains, computer, walk-in closet and miniature library.

How to Get What You Want!
I love to draw, and I love drawing with a fountain pen. As a result, I was recently searching the internet for flexible-nibbed fountain pens. You see, most fountain pens are built for writing, which means that you don't want too much flexibility in the nib. However, you want a nib that can flex between a fine line and broad fat strokes for sketching and drawing, it adds speed and expression to your drawn line. So, after a short browse, I found that such a thing does exist and promptly ordered it.

Why, this year, I will dance to the music of life
It seems so simple, so cliché. 'Be yourself, live your life to the fullest, dont care what anyone else thinks!' everyone preaches; it seems that's the go-to advice for anyone who doesn't know what to say, let alone how to help you.

Beauty beyond the Ashes
I woke up the day before my holidays ready. Ready to rest, connect and take time to reflect on what we all know was a bit of a whirlwind of a year. Everything was looking good. The workload was deligated and all the information was passed on. I found myself reflecting, "You are in a good place, well done." I knew I still had a doctors appointment to go to at lunch. I had been getting some weird discomfort and pain whenever I sneezed. Yes, sneezed! The pain was so sharp and consistent, that whilst I don't normally go to the doctor, I knew it was time.

5 Life-Lessons From 100-Year Olds
Today I stumbled across a video called “Life Lessons from 100-Year-Olds”. I was immediately blown away by the idea of this video and the statements of the people within it. So much so, that just had to write an article about it.

10 Quotes To Encourage You To Remove Toxic People From Your Life
When we think of the word "toxic", we straight away think of something poisonous. Toxic entities can be something chemical, biological, physical, or radiation, any of which have the potential to cause us harm, sickness, disease, or potentially death. Whilst these entities can inflict such damage to us, they aren't the only things on this Earth that are toxic. In fact, we are exposed to toxicity every single day, and many of us aren't even aware of it. We only need to scroll further down on the definition of toxic, to reveal that it's also classed as something that is very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way. It's not hard to put two and two together to realize that this "something", that the definition refers to, that is very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way, is in fact humans themselves. That's correct, humans can indeed be toxic and poisonous, and sadly, many individuals around the world, indeed are. So what constitutes someone to be toxic? Are we perhaps toxic ourselves, and don't even realize it? A toxic person possesses many negative and morally destructive behaviors, characteristics, views, and qualities. They are perhaps abusive, unsupportive, intimidating, controlling, emotion sapping, envious, excessively defensive, unaccountable, gossipers, narcissistic, selfish, needy, intolerant, and pessimistic. You will often find these people love to play the victim in various circumstances and situations, to make themselves the center of attention, in a bid to seek sympathy from others. They never shoulder the responsibility for their actions or their mistakes, instead, they always seek to pass blame and make other people feel guilty instead. They delight in playing with people's emotions, with the intention to inflict some form of harm on them, be it physically or mentally, and then show no signs of remorse in doing so. They prey on the mindset of others, always attempting to manipulate and influence others to believe what they believe, and do what they want them to do. It's all these behaviors, characteristics, views, and qualities, that a toxic person possesses, which can have a devastating effect on our life. The worst part to this though, is that many of these toxic people are our own friends and loved ones.

Walking through darkness to learn from the power of pain
We all have key moments in life that will determine our direction, especially when these moments are defined through pain. Pain can transform you and give you a new perspective and pathway in life. My mantra of strength to overcome pain came after a deeply traumatic accident when my passion for international level horse riding quickly became a fight to survive. To live through pain can be a long process of self-discovery and resilience. When you have come to anticipate that you have managed to get all your ducks in a row, only for a sudden tide change to send all those little ducks in different directions completely, life forces you to learn new perspectives.

My Nook
I've always been concerned with finding where I belong. If you asked me today probably laugh it off and change the subject. It's been a long time since I've actually admitted to my shortcomings. Like my fear of being alone, that gets hidden by the anxiety I get when I'm in public. This and more still affects my daily life. A tug-o-war of extremes. Some days I get through with confidence. While others I wake up feeling like the same kid that got bullied at school.

2020 Showed me what I Need For 2021
2020 actually saved me. Sure, it was a bad year. Horrible. But personally, it was actually a very productive year. And it showed me that I need just a tad of "2020" in my 2021. Why the heck would I want that? Well, let me tell you:

Your journey to heal begins here
Every other day you are reminded of your troubled past, however you still push through. Whether you use music, art, sports, or even your biggest support system you still mange those times of hardship. I’ve dealt and still do to this very moment deal with my own demons from my past. I managed with music, habits, & the people I get comfortable talking to. Sometimes even that isn’t enough to really heal.

Resolutions get cancelled Goals get Accomplished
I do goals not resolutions Every year people choose to create New Year resolutions. I was and have never been that person. A few years ago I posted a status on Facebook that I do goals not resolutions. Resolutions to me are temporary. Goals are more permanent, especially if you write them down. If you write them down whether its at the beginning of the year, the beginning of the month, the beginning of the week or just the beginning of the day, at the end of what ever time frame you choose you can look back and see what you accomplished, if you accomplished it all or if you still have more to go.
