My 2021 Fresh Start
2020 was… a lot. On a global level, there was the Coronavirus Pandemic. People started getting increasingly sicker in February and countries were entering lockdown by March. It was a scary time filled with much uncertainty and fear. On a national level, the stress of the pandemic was exacerbated by political unrest and economic upheaval. 2020 became marked by the fear that the United States was on the precipice of losing its very heart—democracy.

2021: The Year Of The Ox
The ox in Chinese culture represents the pinnacle of strength in the face of adversity, an animal of great importance due to it's role in agriculture. What Everyone Should Do In 2021
It’s that time again. Time for the calendars to change. Time for everyone to start thinking about what they’ll change about themselves. Time for them to follow through with their resolutions...for about a week. Then, it’ll be time for them to throw out the list and/or put it off until next year.

Three weeks in....
Last year....or was it the year before I decided to be one of those people who join the Gym and give them money for free while I decided to not go to the gym! Yeah it didn't work out along with the rest of those individuals who gave up. It just wasn't for me being amongst strangers sweating and panting working hard while I couldn't even figure out how to turn on the bike machine! I decided this year would be different I wouldn't lock myself in a room or force myself to run on a machine.

Leaving 2021
I thought it would never end. I thought I was going to die. I could feel my lungs sinking in, crushing me. I was gasping for air, as if I were drowning. Waiting for someone to come in and save me. This is it. This is how I'm going to die. My sisters would miss me. My boyfriend was going to propose. And my mom... I could feel a tear fall down my warm cheek, and hit the bed I was laying on.

Resolute
Every day can be a fresh start if one looks at it right. Leaving no stone unturned on the path of life may reveal the beauty of the world around that many take for granted when they ignore the splendors the natural state of the universe has created in the cycles of time. Changing one's life, changing one's perspective, and changing one's attitude come together in a resolution as we find our goals laying out before us the role we wish to fulfill in the better selves we hope, wish, and want to be.

Pheonix or Failure?
To understand my 2020 and therefore, my 2021, one must understand my 2019. I lived in a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath mobile home in the “Mojave” desert. It wasn’t much but it was the only home I had ever made my own, much less owned. Social anxiety, bp, and a host of other mental health issues can make steady income difficult. She wasn’t pretty, my trailer, but she did her job kept me warm and safe and kept pesky humans out. I loved her.

Living Alive
My alarm sounds. Gosh, how I hate that sound. A couple weeks ago, I changed the tune of my alarm to a new song that I really like. Now, my bleeding ears can hardly handle the misery of that accursed tune. I sigh. Another day of feeling exhausted. What's happening on my phone? Messages from work. My stocks are down. Another friend flaunting their vacation pics. I wish I could go on vacation.

The Power Of Mantras
The word “mantra” is derived from an ancient Sanskrit word meaning “to think.” In some cultures, a mantra is a specific type of sound, chant, or word used to center the mind during meditation. But in the western world, it’s come to mean a phrase that captures a specific belief or philosophy.

A Nordictrack Right in Front of Me
A Nordictrack, is a very unique way to get someone back on track. Track? The question could be assembled in a way of, what do you mean by track? Sure, a Nordictrack does have a track, duh, you walk on it, run on it, climb hills on it, or just stand on it. What about if a Nordictrack could heal you, meaning mentally and physically?
