Tales of Tarots
Tales of Tarot I need to cut my tongue. And voice. And my hands, and fingers. I have to burn my keyboard, cut and burn and smash whatever capable of communication. Cut! Gone! I need to reach the Death of thoughts, mow the essence of my passion, cut the unease with one, precise swing of sword; transform, renew and find an end to all this inner turmoil.

Think Positive Thoughts
Life delivers constant challenges, adversities, pressure, and pain, there's no disputing that. We seem to forever have something on our mind that concerns and worries us, whether it be our children, our job, our financial situation, our health, our relationship, our lifestyle, or whatever it may be. It's like we manage to solve one problem, to free our mind, and another one pops up almost immediately. Much of the time, the circumstances and situations we find ourselves in, are as a result of our past decisions, yet are within our control, meaning we simply need to make further decisions to resolve the issues we are confronting. Other times, there are circumstances and situations we find ourselves in that are beyond our control, and we are powerless to change or impact. Either way, both these set of circumstances and situations can cause us immense stress, even to the point where it begins to have a negative impact on our health, especially our mental health. So how do we combat stress? How do we relieve ourselves of all this mental pressure that builds up? The first thing to do is to assess whether the cause of our stress is something we have the ability to change. It may be that we are desperately struggling to pay our bills, and we never seem to have enough money, a common issue for many people. The question is, what are we genuinely doing about it? Are we seeking ways to be generating a higher income? Are we stepping out of our comfort zone and asking for help? Are we genuinely living within our means? There's never an easy road out of adversity, and it's entirely up to us to overcome it. If that means making decisions and executing actions that are uncomfortable, awkward, difficult, risky, and even those in which others do not approve, then so be it. If we have the power to overcome the adversity, then that's the only way to remove the stress it is causing us.

Staying small
It seems as though we are all constantly searching for new ways to better ourselves. Everything in life never seems to be enough. When one goal is met, ten new ones have already started. Most people would see this as inspirational because being "ambitious" is considered a good quality. Especially with the rise of social media, so many people are seeing others display their successes and it motivates them to strive for those same results. At what point do we feel fulfilled?

Finding My Weigh
How many times have I said this is IT? This is the year I get it DONE? How many times have I tried and failed before the month is over? Let’s be honest, before the first week is even over. How many times have I taken that failure as a sign that I was not meant to succeed? Our minds keep us locked into our comfortable existences and holds us hostage to our failed dreams.

A New Beginning
Recently it has come to my attention that I am not who I thought I was. Unfortunatly, I came to this conclusion because I actually started to see the wall I was slamming my head against. The wall I put up to keep everyone else out. The wall that I was hiding behind so comfortably that I created my own little world behind it and told myself and everyone else that the other side didn't exist.

The process
Clear the space. Move all things out of the way that may be a distraction. Things are like thoughts - they take your mind away from what should be focused on. For some an empty space might not be available. For some there may be so much clutter in the area and in the mind that finding the clearance may be close to impossible. We move on. We do our best. We focus.

Fresh Start
Let me just start off saying, Last year, 2020 took us all by surprise. No one expected the year to come in like a flood. Most people prepared for their New Year resolution in 2020 and the Pandemic was not one to make the list, Okay. Like, who would have thought a year could be so full of devastation, hurt, pain, and so depressing? Not me. I saw myself enjoying and vacationing with my family, going full force with promoting my Jewelry business. “Favored Jewels in Season” is the name of my business, by the way you could shop my site online at favoredjewelsinseason.com shop our Zi Collection it is like the best. So, what was I saying, lol oh yeah! Like 2020 was the worst and best all at the same time. It was the best year because it pushed me to be better than I was before. I made healthy life changes for myself, saved a little money, and started a new profession as a writer. Cool, right? The year 2020 brought out gifts and talents that were lying dormant for years in me. I certainly believe that we are long due for a refresher after all the chaos. I am not going to say that I have a New Year resolution to stick to this year, However, I will say that I’m coming into the New Year with a mindset to just go with the flow, to take it one day at a time. I believe that whatever your dreams and passions are, work hard at it, and pray over everything. This year in 2021 I want what I do to be purposeful and meaningful. I do not want to just do things, just to be doing it. Resolutions get sucked up in life’s unknown and many circumstances that can occur at any moment. So why create resolutions when we can just live out our sole purpose and run the race of endurance? My fresh start will be for me to take it one day at a time, not to be so hard on myself, choosing not to compete with anyone, but focusing on what I was originally born to do. I am a creative and creatives create right? We believe our gifts will make room for us. Everyone has a place where they fit in this life, but it is up to self to find out where that is. Who knows all that the New Year will bring? However, we must strive to make the best of it. Hey, I say, “Get into it”. Live, Laugh, Love again and just be happy. Do not allow people to steal your joy. We choose our own happiness. Yes, of course, we will face some troublesome times ahead, but trouble does not last always. Get up, dust yourself off, and keep running the race. So, this year, I reiterate I am moving at a steady pace, not too fast and not too slow. Remember the story about, “The Tortoise and The Hare”? This story is an Aesop fable story. The story was based on two opponents with unequal abilities to win a race. However, although the tortoise was slow in speed and the hare was fast in speed it did not stop the tortoise from winning the race. The Hare was over- confident about winning the race because he looked at his opponent in arrogance. The Hare was so confident that he would win, he decided to take a nap lol. Wrong move, right? Finally, the hare awakes and saw that he slept longer than he expected, he started to run toward the finish line, but it was too late the tortoise had won the race. So, the moral of the story is do not be over-confident and prideful in your abilities humble yourself. Slow and steady wins the race. You may not go at the speed as others, just run the race at your own speed. Be yourself and finish the year strong. That is what my fresh start will look like. Well, Happy New Year!

I am Single with 4 Children & 1 Dog but Smiling (throughout lockdown & beyond)!
Yep, time is a precious commodity. There won’t ever be more than 24 hours in a day and an 8 day week remains a mythical dream. Suddenly though, today, right now, time is smacking us in our faces. Smacking us with a jovial, street kid’s back at ya hand gesture. Time is apparently unexpectedly abundant. No more commutes, no school runs, no entertaining, no hair-dressers’ appointments, no gym, nowhere to go. And yet 2 weeks into lockdown the patchwork of faces on my Zooms are looking more frazzled, weary and burnt out than ever. What’s up with this new normal and why aren’t we all reconnecting with our spiritual cores, rekindling our long-forgotten hobbies and fitting in quality time with the kids as those idealistic bloggers suggest we should be?

Keeping on Track
Everyone's had one of those days. You know the ones - you finally succeeded in doing something nice for someone, or generally making the world a little bit better...but nobody really cares. What's more, if you try to make anyone else aware of your good deeds, you'll likely be labelled as 'attention-seeking' or 'selfish', just for wanting your due thanks.

A Blank Book
2020. The year of Covid. The year a lot of people lost their jobs. Their livelihood. Their freedom. Even though I continued to work throughout the year; my livelihood, was staying home, watching tv and taking the dog for a nice walk. That's not much of a life for anyone.
