Positivity is Key to Happiness
No matter how perfect someone's life may seem, everyone has doubt in themselves at times. I have learned after having so many ups and downs in my life, that a persons attitude towards themselves and others will dictate how their life will go. You can be successful in a business and have plenty of money and still be a miserable person. You can be broke and starving and be genuinely happy and grateful for what you do have. This is a huge life lesson: Money does not actually buy happiness...that actually comes from you.

DEVELOP SELF-AWARENESS, REDUCE ANXIETY
DEVELOP SELF- AWARENESS: SELF-AWARENESS of YOUR EMOTIONS: 1. Notice your contemplations. Except if you've been ruminating for quite a long time, your psyche is continually agitating through thoughts and interminably providing commentary. You can't simply take a gander at a tree and appreciate it, your brain needs to respond, "That is an excellent tree." Then it's heading off to the races.

Living Today Like Tomorrow Doesn't Exist
Tomorrow is an Illusion Every person on the planet is guilty of saying it. Those infamous words, “I’ll do it tomorrow.” The words aren’t always the same exact phrase, but the intent and lack thereof are still the same. The problem that we all fail to realize is that “tomorrow” is an illusion. In reality, tomorrow does not exist. At the stroke of midnight, tomorrow becomes today. It will never actually be tomorrow. Every moment you are in is a part of “today.” An entire life is made up of a series of moments that all happen in a series of todays.

"I'm Never Drinking Again"
SOMETIMES EXTREMES ARE GOOD For those of us that live in extremes, the hot or cold type of life, the all or nothing way of living, it can be scary to hear the word "never" in any decision that we make. If we're aware that we are trying to work on our extremist ways of thinking, it can feel very... repulsive. And daunting. The word "never" can bring us peace and it can also destroy us. How... fitting for someone who lives in extremes.

My Fresh Start
Twenty-twenty ... what a year! Am I right? As 2019 was winding down, as most people do, I was gearing up for 2020. I have battled depression for as long as I can remember, and I was beginning to build myself up to rise above it once and for all. I was searching Pinterest for motivating quotes and images and stuff like that. Then along comes COVID-19. Seriously?

Fresh Start:
From COVID-19, climate disruptions, the killing of George Floyd, the bad blood between countries, to a declining economy, riots and protest, unethical acts from our leaders, to an impeachment trial within our own democracy and a new president. 2020 was thus far the most chaotic year I’ve lived in my entire life. Not only has it changed lives by bringing relationships closer, while others failed to embody love and unity during quarantine, it also caused many of us to take a long hard look at the reality of our situations. To some it brought joy and happiness, to others it brought challenges and struggles. Whether rich or poor, from different nationalities to blended cultures, every living soul felt some type of the 2020 effect in their lives.

Making Mayhem and Memories.
The memories pop into my head so much that it's almost embarrassing. You would think after all these years, that the moment my grandmother told me not to eat a second bowl of ice cream wouldn't pop into my head while I'm washing dishes. But, it does and it happens more often than you would think. Memories that I have from things people have said to me or rejection in my early years. It's strange the way they just stop by. Actually, some of the heavy ones were the driving force of my behaviors in my 20s and probably through my early 30s. I was a bit of a late bloomer. The traumatizing years of teenagerdom, seem to have been insufferable for me. For whatever reason, my psyche held on to every negative thing that had ever been said to me with clenched fists. Maybe I'm just not wired right.

I'M A PRODUCT OF MY ENVIRONMENT
When you hear someone say," I'm a product of my environment" What do you think they are saying? Here's what I believe a person is saying when they state the above. A person is saying, I am who I am because of my environment, the people I hang around, the people I see daily, the food my parents prepared for me growing up, the things that happened to me over the years, and things I was forced to hear, say, do, and see in my life, molded me to be the person you see before you. So if you feel any kind of way about me, blame my surroundings. Typical right??? It's like the go-to cliché' to get out of finally being exposed to the truth about self, and hearing any good that can come out of bringing you out of self-pity. Been there, done that. lol.
