The Morning Routine That May Help You Stay Youthful for Years

A powerful morning routine that may help improve gut health, boost energy, and promote overall wellness.

Nowadays, people often start looking old after the age of 35. Their hair turns gray, their skin becomes loose, their knees begin to ache, their energy levels drop, their sleep gets disturbed, and they start looking ten years older than their actual age.

But our grandfathers and great-grandfathers were different. Even at the age of 70, they remained strong. They worked in the fields, lifted heavy weights, and could read without glasses.

And if we observe carefully, there is one major difference, my friends: their morning routine.

Today, as soon as we wake up, we drink tea, eat biscuits, start scrolling on our phones, and many people even smoke cigarettes. This is where the biggest problem begins.

The empty stomach in the morning is the most important time for the body’s detoxification process and for maximizing nutrient absorption. Whatever you give your body during this time reaches your cells more effectively.

If you consume the wrong things first thing in the morning, it is obvious that the aging process will speed up significantly. But if you nourish your body with the right foods and habits, you may even be able to slow down—and in some ways reverse—the visible effects of aging.

Let's start with the first remedy: a combination of black seed (kalonji), fenugreek seeds, and black chickpeas.

You need to soak all three ingredients overnight and consume them on an empty stomach in the morning.

Black seed (kalonji) has long been regarded in traditional medicine as a powerful natural remedy. It contains a compound called thymoquinone, which may help reduce inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation is considered one of the major factors associated with aging. The higher the inflammation, the faster the aging process may occur.

Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) are highly valued in Ayurveda for their strengthening properties. They may help support healthy blood sugar levels, reduce joint discomfort, and promote better digestive health.

As for black chickpeas, they are an excellent source of plant-based protein. They help maintain muscle strength, support bone health, and provide nutrients that contribute to healthy skin.

Here's how to prepare it:

Before going to bed, take:

¼ teaspoon of black seed (kalonji)

1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds (methi dana)

1 teaspoon of black chickpeas (kale chane)

Place them in a glass of water and let them soak overnight.

In the morning, chew and eat all three ingredients thoroughly on an empty stomach. Then drink the remaining water as well.

Do not throw away the water, as many of the nutrients released during soaking may be present in it.

Follow this routine daily for 90 consecutive days, then take a 15-day break before starting another cycle if desired.

After the first remedy—eating the soaked black seed, fenugreek seeds, and black chickpeas—wait for about 15 to 20 minutes before moving on to the second remedy.

The second remedy is a combination of soaked dry fruits.

For this, you will need:

5almonds

5 raisins

1 walnut kernel

1 dried fig

Soak them overnight, preferably in separate containers. In the morning, after completing the first remedy, start consuming these soaked dry fruits.

Walnuts are often considered one of the best foods for brain health. They contain omega-3 fatty acids, which support normal brain function and overall cognitive health.

Dried figs are rich in iron, potassium, and fiber. They can help support healthy digestion and may contribute to maintaining good iron levels in the body.

Raisins contain natural antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress, which is associated with aging and various health problems.

And almonds, as most people know, are an excellent source of vitamin E, an important antioxidant that helps support healthy skin and overall wellness.

Here's how to consume them:

After waking up, peel the soaked almonds and eat them. Take the walnut out of the water and chew it thoroughly. Then eat the soaked raisins and fig, chewing them well. You may also drink the soaking water from the raisins and fig if you wish.

Many people prefer to discard the soaking water from almonds and walnuts because soaking can release certain compounds naturally present in nuts. Whether to drink that water or not is largely a matter of personal preference, but it is commonly discarded in traditional practices.

By making these nutrient-rich foods a regular part of your morning routine, you can provide your body with healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support overall health and well-being.

The third remedy is not meant to be taken on an empty stomach. Instead, it should be consumed after every meal.

This remedy is a mixture of cumin seeds (jeera), carom seeds (ajwain), and fennel seeds (saunf).

Lightly roast all three ingredients in a pan and mix them together. Store the mixture in an airtight container.

After each meal, take one teaspoon of this mixture, chew it thoroughly, and then drink a little warm water.

The idea behind this remedy is that many health problems are linked to poor digestion. If your digestive system is not functioning properly, it can affect your overall health, energy levels, and well-being.

Cumin seeds may help stimulate digestive enzymes and support digestion. Ajwain is traditionally used to help relieve gas, bloating, and indigestion. Fennel seeds are commonly used as a natural mouth freshener and may also help soothe the digestive tract.

Together, these three ingredients have long been used in traditional households to support digestive health.

When digestion is working efficiently, the body is generally better able to absorb nutrients from food. This can contribute to healthier-looking skin, improved energy levels, better sleep quality, and overall wellness.

While these ingredients can support digestive health, it's important to remember that aging is influenced by many factors, including genetics, diet, exercise, sleep, stress levels, and overall lifestyle. No single remedy can completely stop or reverse aging, but healthy habits can certainly help you maintain better health as you grow older.
