Mindfulness mediation involves a lot of self-control but at the same time it also offers a form of letting go of control. To practice mindful meditation requires an acknowledgment of your present state and a heavy focus on your breathing. This journey you will be embarking on will allow you to feel present in the moment and bring you to a meditative state. Let us begin.

Where are you? Let's take a moment to open our mind to what is. Take a light step forward and pause yourself while you take a panoramic scan at your surroundings. Beautiful autumn trees in the most magnificent hues of orange, brown, red, and yellow. Take a deep breath in and notice the magical little details in your sight. A wide-open trail, the crunch of leaves beneath your feet, the afterglow of the sky as the sun begins to set. These things are there. They exist now. Only in this moment. Wrap your mind around this for a few moments while you continue to breath in deeply and release those breaths slowly.

You continue a relaxed walk and you notice how light you feel as if you are walking across the clouds. You are moving forward. Just as in your life, you continue to move forward. Take a moment to notice if you are talking quicker steps. If you are, slow yourself down. Just as in your life, don't take things and experiences to fast.

Notice your breathing pattern. Breathe in the fresh air around you. Fill your lungs with the goodness Mother Nature provides you with. Take note of the smell of autumn leaves beginning to fall. Clear your mind of all thoughts. There is a giant tree in your view. Imagine your thoughts as leaves on this tree. One by one, these leaves begin to fall off. Slowly floating through mid-air. Each thought you have in your mind slowly falls until you are left with the present moment. As thoughts continue to enter your mind, you imagine them as leaves on this tree, and you watch them fall until they vanish.

As you continue to walk along this wide path you begin to hear a distant stream. The sound of the flow of the water calms your breathing. As you get closer you reach the shoreline of a lake. Pause here and notice the way the water moves. Notice the change in color of the water as you move your eyes further and further into the distance. Take a deep breath in through your nose. Feel this breath rise up in your lungs and fill your chest. Hold this breath deep within you for a moment. And release through your mouth in a deep sigh.

You walk along the shoreline, moving with the light breeze. The dark green water almost touching the side of your right foot. Realize that this moment is yours. That only you are seeing, hearing, and feeling your surroundings. This is your world you are breathing in. Take a deep breath in and fill your lungs. Exhale with a dep sigh. Stop to look out into the water. As you gaze across the water notice the ripples in the water. Notice the reflections of the sky in the water. Breath in and breath out in a slow and steady pattern. These are the moments you should be fully present in.

In this state you are you. You are a beautiful human being. Accept and love yourself as nature loves you. You are part of the beautiful nature that surrounds you. Be grateful for this walk that you allowed yourself to be part of.

I hope this journey has brought you inner peace and you continue to vibrate on a higher level in like. Thank you.
