Legend has it that Cleopatra used to bathe in rose water, honey and milk to keep her skin soft. Cleopatra was well-known for her beauty and power. The rose is still a popular choice for skincare, beauty, and wellness treatments, even though it has been around for over 2000 years.

It is well-known for its anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant properties. Rose oil is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can be used to treat a wide range of skin conditions.

Two main types of roses are used in cosmetics: the Damask Rose, Rosa damascena, and the Cabbage Rose, Rosa centifolia. The Damask roses are preferred for their sweet scent, potency against bacteria, and anti-aging properties. Both essential oils have distinct benefits for skin and well-being.

Skin Protection

Rose is rich in powerful antioxidants that can fight free radicals. This protects skin cells and helps to regenerate tissue.

Skin hydration

Rose is good for all skin types. However, due to its hydrating properties, it's best suited to dry or aged skin. Rose extract can be used on its own or in combination with a moisturizer such as an essential oil or serum to strengthen the skin's barrier and seal in moisture.

Anti-aging properties

Vitamins A and C are two antioxidants found in rose oils, which can both help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. These vitamins can help reduce wrinkles and fine lines, as well as help with collagen production. Vitamin C protects the skin from sun damage.

To soothe skin irritation

Rose oil is a popular choice for its calming properties. It can soothe redness, rosacea, and any irritation or surface itchiness. Rose hip oil is rich in fatty acids that are great for treating inflammatory conditions like eczema or psoriasis.

Heals cuts and scars

Rose water is antiseptic and antibacterial, which can be used to fight infections and speed up the healing of burns and wounds.

Hair moisturizer

Rose water can be used to tame frizzy hair in winter, especially if it is dry and frizzy.

Mood enhancer

Rose oil is a pleasant, calming scent that can be used to instill self-confidence, mental strength, and self-esteem. It can also help reduce anxiety and depression.
