Five Things You Probably Didn't Know About Scorpio

A little about Scorpio Suns

Scorpio is one of those signs that people look down at. They're the dark side of the water signs, but they are still water signs -- filled with all of the same emotions and intuitive abilities of the other watery signs. They may have a stinger, but you have to do a lot to them to incur their wrath (I speak from personal experience on both sides of the coin, being a Scorpio myself and having dealt with other Scorpios).

If you were born from October 23 to November 21, your sun sign is Scorpio. If you know your birth chart, Scorpio in your rising sign could also leave you feeling as though people only see the bad in you.

So, you've already likely heard that Scorps are manipulative and deceiving, and while they can be, we'd rather look at some things you may not have heard.

1. They're super-duper intuitive

They're a water sign -- this just makes sense. The reason you don't know this is that you've likely been focusing too much on the negative aspects of a Scorpio that isn't balanced and in touch with their inner emotions. If you give the Scorpio in your life all the love and support they need and they don't need to fight to have their needs met, they'll be able to lean into their positive qualities far more than their negative. We also feed a lot on your emotions and the way YOU are, the people we spend much of our time with. If you are a narcissist, that rubs off on Scorpio after a while and then you point at us when you're the one that made us this way.

2. They're creative with their crazy

Yes, it's true that Scorps have a bit of crazy in them -- it's that fiery aspects of the planets Pluto and Mars mixed with those watery emotions. The thing is, while some Scorps will just embrace the crazy in a bad way, others find creative outlets for their crazy. Scorpio is in the top 3 when it comes to the most creative zodiac signs, in our opinion. Of course, everyone has different opinions when it comes to the signs of the zodiac, and no one person is exactly right. We're simply saying that Scorpio is creative, and amazingly so when they want to be!

3. They have an entrepreneurial drive

One of the reasons people see Scorpio as someone who is manipulative is because they're driven and passionate about anything they set their mind to -- even if it's something on the dark side. Balanced Scorps are able to launch their own businesses and find success because they have a fiery drive that pushes them to make things go the way they want them to. Plus, we Scorps often work better on our own, so being your own boss may help you feel more confident in yourself and the work you do.

4. They're more in touch with their emotions than you think

While some Scorps are hotheads and don't know how to control their emotions, others have an emotional intelligence that can put Pisces to shame once in a while. What makes some Scorps more in touch with their emotions? Those Scorpions who meditate regularly, practice self-care, and hone their intuitive skills are more likely to be in control of their emotions than those who are self-absorbed and too busy to look within. Let this be a lesson to you, dear fellow Scorpios -- take time out regularly to meditate and practice self-love so that you can be more in control of your emotions and show people that our stingers don't have minds of their own!

5. They'd give a stranger the shirt off their back

Scorpions may have stingers that are filled with poison, but the zodiac Scorpio is often a healer deep within their soul and they want to help people. Again, this all relies on how balanced the Scorpio in question is, but a happy and healthy Scorp would gladly give the shirt off their back to a stranger in need, without question (and sometimes to the detriment of their own health, physical and mental). Again, self-care is important. You can't help and heal others when you are sick and dying.
