A Mommie Dearest In The Making?
First off, I want to apologize for the error I made with my last story about Amber Heard. As I’ve looked deeper online in the available articles and videos on the subject, it appears Amber Heard has NOT been fired from her role in the “Aquaman” sequel. At this time Vocal doesn’t have the option to delete published stories, so I wanted to apologize for that mistake. Second, I wanted reiterate that the statements made in this piece are my personal opinion that has been formed through information readily available to me and the rest of the public online. I don’t know Amber Heard, nor do I have any firsthand knowledge about her character or this entire situation.

We all need a Betty in our lives
This is a tribute to my favourite comic book character Betty Cooper from Archie Comics. Although I have not read an Archie comics book for at least 15 years now, there was a time I was a big fan of them. In my early years in India I was very jubilant whenever my parents or relatives would get me a Archie comic book for my birthday. Sometimes they would get me one in other months as well. What a lovely bonus!! I liked the different comic books (digests) but liked the Betty & Veronica series a lot. I would have preferred if they had a series solely on Betty.

5 Toxic Ideas About Love I Learned From Watching Too Many Romantic Movies
Here’s a cheesy montage straight out of a movie I watched as a teen. A shirtless guy with perfectly tanned abs was running after his girlfriend. When he caught up to her, they started kissing and watched the beautiful sunset together.

I Introduce to you "The Rubber Lady"
I've been many different people throughout my life, but no other personality is more memorable then "The Rubber Lady". From 1985 to 1994, I embarked on a journey. There are many stories, way more then I can begin to tell in just this one page. So, I've been asking myself, how the heck do I even explain The Rubber Lady? Well, it helps that I have a lot of photographs. The Rubber Lady had a way of attracting photographers, from students to professionals. All photos are my property and include photo credits.

Bedtime Classics Fever Dream
My favorite bedtime story as a kid was easily this giant, orange, hardcover book of nursery rhymes as told by the cast of Hanna Barbera cartoons. I imagine we must have read them all, but never in a night. This book was truly massive. The Flintstones were front and center; but it also included Scooby-Doo, the Jetsons, and Yogi-Bear. Nothing really stands out as far as stories go (other than the Princess and the Pod starring Wilma Flintstone and images of the Scooby-Doo gang at the carnival), but the images seem to be imprinted in my mind. I’m not sure I ever saw a book with full pages of color like this one – no margins, text on the pictures! I remember how colorful and gorgeous the images were on each page, even if it was some simply drawn cartoons. It was so cool to see the characters I knew and loved in a different way, on paper, and telling stories outside of their own. It was like seeing the characters acting. This could have potentially been the moment where I developed emotional, human attachment to fictional characters, but I’m not mad.

I couldn't be Scrooge McDuck
I've been watching a lot of Disney+ lately. I mean, I've been doing it since the service launched. It's not like there's been a lot else to do inside. My girlfriend and I have adapted a morning routine where we can (Even when the mornings start in the early afternoon), which is essentially a Saturday Morning Cartoon simulator where every day is Saturday Morning over breakfast with the addition of existential dread.

Always expect the magic of the fog
I have a personal method of relaxation that has never failed me. The mysteries of the fog thread my needle whether I am actually in the midst of it or reading about it. I imagine I am standing on a cliff and can jump out into the mist that is so thick that it catches me and I am borne on the air itelf. My enchantment with the mist from low lying clouds began with a tale titled FOG MAGIC.

Let's Get Quizzical
My passion for trivia began when I was 8 years old while watching Jeopardy! with my grandmother. I was so amazed and perplexed each time she would confidently yell out the answer, and even more so when Canada’s sweetheart Alex Trebek deemed her correct.

Why I Want to Share My Passion For Nostalgia
I'm a little biased. I grew up in the 1980s, so to me: it's the perfect decade. The older I get, the more I appreciate the things from my youth. Call it golden-age thinking--or wearing rose-colored glasses--but the memories of our past are still powerful.
