A Real Steampunk Romance
I introduced Steampunk to the Dallas nightclub scene. Before me, no one else was doing it. While the fandom of that aesthetic has grown far beyond my skills since then, at the time I was very popular for not only my personal Steampunk fashion, but for being a maker of steampunk props and clothing accessories.

Eugene
Eugene sits in the same seat at the end of the bar that I tend in a small rural Missouri town everyday for hours drinking iced tea. When he finishes a glass he doesn’t want it to be cleared, he likes to collect them on the bar top. He strategically leaves a few ounces of liquid and some ice in each one and after he accumulates six nearly empty glasses he begins to combine them into one glass. His final glass of the day. The perfect glass of iced tea. Balanced. Cold but not as cold as when I served it to him. The ice has melted just enough so he can chew on it comfortably without it bothering his sensitive teeth. After he finishes his final glass of tea he gathers his belongings into a worn out plastic bag from Aldi and leans on his cane as he walks to the door. He always lingers like he’s forgetting something or like he has an empty feeling inside that has left him always searching for something he can’t quite put a finger on.

How to make a girl fall in love with you
Love is a feeling, of course, beautiful, but very difficult. It often defies logic. Creative people compare love with a blazing fire that goes out without "recharge". So why not light this fire on your own? In some cases, you just need to spur the circumstances so that the object of warm feelings draws its attention to you. There are simple but very effective ways.

Testing Fate
I look off into the field to where my car is parked, but first I am going finish this glass of Merlot to calm my nerves. First dates make people nervous in the first place, but for this, it is the next level. I have not been on a first date in nine years. I still remember my previous first date. I miss you so much Allie. I know she would not want me to torture myself like this. It has been two years since I lost you, and two years since I have started my journey. When I think of you, I cannot help but smile and catch myself crying for days.

To my beloved mother.
My name is Tracey Nguyen, and I am a 33 year old Vietnamese Canadian. Though I am born and raised in Canada, the blood that has run through my veins has carried a history of war, death, pain, rage and an unravelling story of what feels like to me, a god-like forgiveness. My grandma and my mother both endured the Vietnam war and I am incredibly proud of the resilience, strength and unconditional Love they continue to radiate. I dedicate this story to my beloved mother and her strength.

What is love?
“To give a flower to your lover is not love, in actual to keep your lover like a flower is a love.” Love has no definition. It has no label. It is what it is stainless and simple. Love stands for care, trust, compromise, honesty, respect, Sacrifice, and loyalty. It is also about emotions, feelings, and sensations. It’s a sweet passion that makes you feel happy and strong. We as humans can’t survive without love because it’s like a dose for us to live. To be loved and to love both feelings are so ravishing that last a blissful impression. It warms you like that you feel flying with wings in the firmament. Most of the people are scared of love. The reason is that they are afraid of being hurt. We should know that love is just like an impetus, not something that will prevent you from going forward.

Shangri-La
Introduction: This story was written for my life partner. We were new at the time, a love blossoming so strongly, a bond developing so quickly, that poetry and prose flowed from both of us like fluid. We wrote back and forth to one another for months. This is one of those stories...
