The 8 Signs of a Worthwhile Relationship
At first, it would be all rainbows and unicorns — also called the “honeymoon stage”. This is the part of the relationship where you refuse to acknowledge that your partner can make mistakes. It’s the romance and the laughter that fills this part of the relationship. However, as time progresses, you get to know your partner deeper.

The Unbound Self
There is perhaps nothing more beautiful than a soul wholly in love with themselves. I mean that breathtaking, sparkling, radiant lifeforce that speaks through the eyes. Dances between gazes. The selfless kind, free of ego yet wrapped in confidence.

Small ripples
The human existence has been talked about and written about and debated since we could question life's meaning, it seems to me. The eternal "Why am I here?" and "What is my purpose" echo through each generation, as we struggle to matter. As we struggle to make a difference. As I’ve grown older, I have come to my own conclusions.

Heartache and Hope Away from My Love
In September of 2019, I met the love of my life. In December, I visited him in his native country of Haiti, which was where we got engaged. When I returned home, I filed a petition for him to get a fiancé visa so he could come to the U.S. to marry me.

Six String by Nature
I sat. Slightly confused. Slightly broken. But growing. Healing. The guitar in hand as my fingers conversed with the strings, flirting in a new yet old pattern which emerged from years of infatuation and love. The right hand plucked and tapped a beat as the left moved gently across the fretboard, finding the proper chords to thread a web of sound that flutters into the mountains like a butterfly gently flapping her wings to stay afloat midair. ‘Like a Wave’ was being birthed.

A Letter To My Future Husband…
To my dear husband to be, When you found me, I was on a journey of restoration. I was on a path of healing, partially battered & broken, but somehow, you still saw beauty in me. A beauty I struggled to see in myself. You taught me rather quickly that beauty could come from brokenness. You saw beauty in the most battered & bruised parts of me, the parts of me that other men had thrown away.

A Broken Violin
"Once more unto the breach" I was lost and alone, all love long since gone, I was all on my own. Nobody, no-one, not a single soul neither knew nor even cared to know I existed. And that was the way I liked it, or at least I told myself I did. The harsh truth of the matter was I had been badly burned by two previous failed marriages , as a result of which I gave up even trying. I reasoned to myself that at least on my own nobody could hurt me. I didn't have woman trouble because I didn't have a woman.

Afternoon
A week had passed since Asher’s father had died. He died in the afternoon, shortly after having lunch. The neighbors were the first to find him. They went to check on him when he didn’t show up to their weekly game night. When they found him, he was lying in bed, under the blanket. Initially, they thought he was asleep. However, when he didn’t respond to their efforts to wake him up, they called an ambulance.
