love
All you need is Love, and Love is all you need.
Everything Happens For A Reason
The day of the accident is a day that will never be forgotten. Five years later I still cant get her off my mind. She was everything. She was my first date, my first kiss, my last love. Death is a grim truth. We are mere mortals pretending to live forever. Patience is a virtue but god I miss you. Here I am patiently waiting for god to strike me down. Here I am waiting to see your face again. I wake up empty. I go to the same job that took every minute I had with you and cut it in half. I just don't have the courage to end it. God please give me the courage.

Zoomers
Zoomers Still not a date, seven months late Kaleidoscope. That’s what all those faces looked like on the gallery view of the Zoom call. All the different colors, all the faces moving, some people who rocked back and forth, some who looked up, some who looked down, some who looked all around, some who were still as mice, some who looked bored or drunk or zoned out. I pushed the button to see the next screen of the next twenty-six faces, and then one more screen after that. Seventy-three participants on this call to watch a magic show broadcast from Westwood.

Merlot Rouge
Two hours had passed and not a single person entered. The building I rented was right on the corner a few blocks away from the French Quarter. Stragglers passed by, but they didn't seem too interested in any art. "Philistines." I joked to myself. I was also awaiting a girl I'd been seeing for a few months. I'd sent a follow-up text to check if she would still come. No response. I later find her on Locale (a social app dedicated to your location at all times) at an event across town somewhere. Oh, well.

Sailor Moon
It’s a match! Shit, now what? Putting my phone down, I take a deep breath and change the channel. Ding! Smiling as I pick up my phone to read the notification, “Hey sexy.” Seriously? That’s what dating has come to? Rolling my eyes before replying, “Hey, how’s it going?” Responding within seconds, “It’s going good beautiful. How’s it going with you?” I quickly unmatch him. I’ve chatted with enough men to know once they start using the physically descriptive words, they are just wanting to hook-up.

Does Every Couple Have a "That's Us" Couple?. Top Story - April 2021.
Does every couple have a couple they look at and say, "Oh yeah, that's just like us!"? If you read that question and immediately thought of a famous (or not) couple that you compare to you and your partner, I guess that helps get me closer to an answer about how many people do that!

10 Things I’ve Learned About Relationships
Every relationship is different, but no relationship is perfect. We ALL have times when we argue. If you say that you both agree on everything and never fight, either you’ve hit the lottery, or you’re kidding yourself. Either way, a relationship takes both partners working and growing together to face the obstacles that life throws their way. I have been with my fiancé—(I can’t believe I get to say that now!!) off and on for 7 years now. We’ve had our ups and downs, but over the years I’ve learned a few things.

Lips Like Merlot
“Alright, here is your steak and your pasta. If there’s anything else I can get you, just let me know, okay? Enjoy, guys.” Their waitress leaves them alone again, and Talia wishes she could melt into the floor as she picks up a fork to pick at her calamari pasta—the only thing she’d been able to recognize and pronounce on the menu.

What is love?
Until today when people would discuss love or ask me that standard question - “what does love mean to you?” - I wouldn’t know know how to participate or give an answer to that question fully. I would always give some random answer to get through the situation but in reality, I didn’t even totally understand what I was talking about; or maybe, I couldn’t exactly express with the right words - what love means to me. I was always searching for the perfect description to convey precisely what I believe love is. I felt it, I knew that. A couple times. And I always wished to wholly understand and also explain what meaning this word holds. It’s so powerful. The meaning... it’s so subtle, low-key, intense, innocent, yet crazy. Today I feel like I finally have an idea of how to talk about it, and express my views about the word... It’s right, some things just suddenly show up in life when you’re not even looking for it.

My Love
This love story takes place in a time where the world was in crisis and humanity was at an all-time low. It all began when I got bored and lonely and decided to see if I could find someone new to talk to. I got on my computer and decided to sign up for one of those dating sites. I'm very much a loner so meeting people in the aspect of a relationship was not heard of for me. Anywho, I signed up for Seeking Arrangements. I must admit, it was fun for the first twelve hours until the men were getting extremely graphic with what they wanted. So I decided to cancel that account and sign up for Tinder. This particular app was very interesting. I was getting attention from all types and social statuses of men. I felt special yet I wasn't looking for what they were looking for. I was simply looking for genuine people I could have an intelligent conversation with. On the 28th of January, I got just that. It had to be around 11:45 at night when I got a hit from this very handsome man. The conversation went on for two hours on Tinder until he said he wanted to hear my voice. We exchanged phone numbers and immediately called each other. We stayed on the phone for another three hours. As of now, the day would be Thursday. This handsome specimen of God's creation calls my phone at 6 pm. He expresses that he is in my area and was wondering if he could come and get me. I immediately said yes. When we seen each other, there was an instant spark. He ended up taking me to his home where we basically danced, deeply talked, and just mesmerized into each other. I was so much out of my standard of comfortability of telling myself all the things I wasn't going to do like have sex on the first day, saying I love you, or committing to anything. Nonetheless, on the 28th of January, I found myself telling this man I love you. Once those words were uttered, I didn't feel like it was me talking. I didn't know enough about him to feel this way yet it was the most genuine and honest thing I've ever done on impulse. We continued to dance to where the sexual tension was getting thick. Of course, alcohol was a vice yet it wasn't the motivator of what was done. As we hold each other after a passionate night, he allowed me to go on a job interview in his vehicle. NO MAN HAS EVER DONE THAT, which boosted my trust level immensely. From that day forward, we have not had a day apart. It's going on our third month of blissful happiness and I've already been given a proposal. If you ever want to feel the love that your Heavenly Father has for you, take a chance on someone that has the same essence of life as you.

Dream Date
"I'm a damn fool," Alice told herself . Alice twirled her glass of Merlot round and round on the scarred tabletop, trying hard to look as if she hung out in local taverns waiting for blind dates with "silver foxes." Every other table was occupied by families or groups. Worse yet, she was on display in the middle of the whole place. Why did she let her friend talk her into signing up for an online dating site for seniors ? She thought she was clever using a twelve year photo, but now she realized the silver fox could see exactly what she looked like on social media. Her daughter in law documented every family event, but she always caught Alice with her eyes shut or her hair a mess after styling by the granddaughters.
