The Stranger
Sleeping in a deteriorating boat did not suit me well, but at least I had made it through the night alive. The morning sun peaked through the tiny holes in the blue tarp covering me in my shelter, and the warmth of the rays on my face let me know that I needed to make a move. I didn’t have time to waste resting any longer, the exoskeleton soldiers could have a trace on me.

Trapped
The forest was dark, and the trees were lifelessly bare. Arielle’s mother had told her to never go into the forest alone, but she was on the run. She had to escape from the chaos of living with a widowed addict. Dead leaves crunched under her feet with each step, and the sound of crows screeching echoed in the distance. I didn’t even grab a flashlight. It was about 5 o’clock, and soon the shadows would swallow her. I will never make it out alive if I can’t see. The thought sent chills down her spine, and her baby blue eyes swelled with tears. I can do this. Nothing is worse than living with mom.

The Butterflies
I couldn’t keep the tears from trickling down my face. “Micah!!!,” came waling out of me before I could bother to care who heard. The loud thud of my heart slowly faded from the ringing in my ears. Shiny spots blurred my vision, and the silent forest circled in to suffocate me. I knew that if I didn’t catch my breath and keep moving, I would suffer the same fate! I buried my head in his chest and whispered between forced breaths,”I will love you all the time and everyday.” I kissed his once perfect lips that would now turn cold and blue, and I retreated into the black of the night.

10 Things I’ve Learned About Relationships
Every relationship is different, but no relationship is perfect. We ALL have times when we argue. If you say that you both agree on everything and never fight, either you’ve hit the lottery, or you’re kidding yourself. Speak Life
Everyone has heard the saying “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” That’s not exactly true.. see our words have a lot of power. You may be like okay Hailey you kinda lost me here... well think about it... if you’re constantly talking down to someone, they’re eventually going to listen to you and start to believe that they are insignificant.
