Sleeping in a deteriorating boat did not suit me well, but at least I had made it through the night alive. The morning sun peaked through the tiny holes in the blue tarp covering me in my shelter, and the warmth of the rays on my face let me know that I needed to make a move. I didn’t have time to waste resting any longer, the exoskeleton soldiers could have a trace on me.
Dear Angel Baby
Dear Angel Baby, Your due date has arrived, and instead of you being alive and here with me, I’m left with empty arms, a stomach aching, and a heart that won’t stop breaking. As every due date/birthday goes by, I wish I could get to know the joy of being able to see you aging, and that I never had to say goodbye.
10 Ways to Fall in Love With Yourself
The chaos in the world has stirred up a lot of hate, and as a result, many of us have forgotten how to love ourselves!! Sadly, a lack of self-love goes hand-in-hand with depression, anxiety, lack of sleep, and other changes in your emotional and physical state. We start to feel like we are not good enough, like no one cares about us or loves us... I’ve even felt like my existence was pointless. We eventually slowly begin to checkout of reality to find a way to cope. Sometimes we may not notice it, but others around us probably will.
The forest was dark, and the trees were lifelessly bare. Arielle’s mother had told her to never go into the forest alone, but she was on the run. She had to escape from the chaos of living with a widowed addict. Dead leaves crunched under her feet with each step, and the sound of crows screeching echoed in the distance. I didn’t even grab a flashlight. It was about 5 o’clock, and soon the shadows would swallow her. I will never make it out alive if I can’t see. The thought sent chills down her spine, and her baby blue eyes swelled with tears. I can do this. Nothing is worse than living with mom.
Do you ever feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders? Like no matter what you do, you still feel this urge to explode? Then maybe it’s time to let go of those old grudges. When a person wrongs you, you may not notice it immediately, but if you don’t forgive them, it will take a toll on you! I know there’s a few people that took a while for me to work on forgiving, and at times, I have to remind myself that I have already forgiven them and myself. Especially living in a small town, where you see and hear about people constantly.
I couldn’t keep the tears from trickling down my face. “Micah!!!,” came waling out of me before I could bother to care who heard. The loud thud of my heart slowly faded from the ringing in my ears. Shiny spots blurred my vision, and the silent forest circled in to suffocate me. I knew that if I didn’t catch my breath and keep moving, I would suffer the same fate! I buried my head in his chest and whispered between forced breaths,”I will love you all the time and everyday.” I kissed his once perfect lips that would now turn cold and blue, and I retreated into the black of the night.
10 Things I’ve Learned About Relationships
Every relationship is different, but no relationship is perfect. We ALL have times when we argue. If you say that you both agree on everything and never fight, either you’ve hit the lottery, or you’re kidding yourself. Either way, a relationship takes both partners working and growing together to face the obstacles that life throws their way. I have been with my fiancé—(I can’t believe I get to say that now!!) off and on for 7 years now. We’ve had our ups and downs, but over the years I’ve learned a few things.
Everyone has heard the saying “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” That’s not exactly true.. see our words have a lot of power. What comes out of your mouth travels into the universe like light speed and begins to manifest its way into your life. You may be like okay Hailey you kinda lost me here... well think about it... if you’re constantly talking down to someone, they’re eventually going to listen to you and start to believe that they are insignificant. It works the same way when we talk down to ourselves and our situations!!
Living With Anxiety
Anxiety doesn’t discriminate. It comes in all shapes and sizes, and like a leech...it latches on to its victim and sucks the life out of them. It can be so crippling, that thought of a stranger asking “How are you?” makes you afraid to go out into public.
