The letters LGBTQ are just another way of saying that Love is Love.
Am I Programmed to Love Her?
I can feel my heart, if you can call it a heart, thumping. The mechanism is beating so fast because my date... no. My partner? No. My girlfriend? I hope so. Whatever I am to her — whatever she is to me — I can't explain my feelings. All I know is that each look, each touch, makes my circuits feel like they're shorting out. My heart mechanism races as she rubs little circles into my hand with her thumb. She talks about how her degrees are going. Library Science and Archaeology. The perfect education for a fellow jewel thief.

The Best View in the City
I arrive at Toronto's Union Station. I'm planning to take the PATH to the CN Tower. That's where she'll be. While her text from last night is cryptic, I know her well enough to know what she means. Her text is referencing the restaurant at the top of the CN Tower. I'm almost certain of it. That is where the best view in the city would be.

A Case for Mary Jones
A Case for Mary Jones When you think of Black innovators, your mind probably wanders to the same twenty inventors, civil rights leaders, and entrepreneurs that you have been taught since your second-grade class with Ms. Johnson. This is not an indictment of you personally, but more so the failings of an entire system that fits the spectrum of Black history (AKA American History) into the shortest month of the year. Of course, to create a non-offensive, precisely packaged slice of history, you must select the highlights, but it's the footnotes between the margins that tell the untold stories. For this tidbit of tucked-away history, you must delve far into the recesses of a little-known 1836 New York City pick-pocketing case.

Sun Kisses Under the Moon Light
I opened up a text and there it was, another damn honor to be in another wedding. I mean don’t get me wrong I love a good love story that ends in a white dress and a nicely dressed suit or tux in front of the alter. But since 2015 until now 2017, I’m the asshole sweating bullets on the other side, reminding myself not to lock my knees. And of course, I said yes. It’s my cousin how could I not love it?

Biphobia
Let's start with direct facts. Biphobia is not as new as we think. It comes in so many forms which can sometimes make it difficult to spot right at the moment. It is said that (this fact may be outdated) that the calls about biphobia in the helplines for the LGBTQ+ community are increasing. It can be as direct as insults or as subtle as small but still hurtful comments.

Gender Expression is not Gender Identity
The fact I am a transgender man is neither a decision nor a choice I made. It’s something I have always been, even if I could not articulate it until a few years ago. Once I realized that I am transgender, the only decision I had to make was whether to come out or to remain closeted the rest of my life.
