dating
All about dating. First dates, three years into a relationship, Tinder, and more.
Catchphrase With Cameron
Intro I was online multi-dating for three months and grew a strong connection with two men, Jonathan and Cameron. Both showered me with warmth and tenderness through video chats and messages but also gave me the strength and courage to push on forward during the hardship of the pandemic.

Merlot Madness
Being a young woman in her twenties has many challenges. From investing her heart into fine arts to engaging her mind into having a fulfilling social life, dating seems to be the least important, and the most depressing aspect of Shanel’s life. Who can you trust in a world filled with sexist men who idolize abusing women as a form of humor? In exchange for intimate relationships, Shanel allows painting to be her one true love. Art has no limitations. Art is a judge-free zone where the realms of her mind can wander away from the pain of her past lovers. Painting alone doesn't pay the bills, so rooming with her best friend Natasha helps Shanel bear the load of surviving rent while chasing her dreams. Both single ladies lean on one another for support and take pride in their shared independence. True friendship has been more than a muse in both women's personal life, but let's be honest. True love consumes them more than they'd like to admit as they approach their late twenties. One afternoon Shanel sees a flyer for wine tasting at the gallery she works at and decides to drag her best friend along to avoid another boring weekend. There's only one catch, it includes speed dating. As corny as speed dating is, at least the wine is free, the night is young, so why not. It was time to explore what the city of LA has to offer. So we hit the mall and set out hearts on looking sexy and getting tipsy.

I'm A Bit of A Wino
I nervously ring my hands as I eye the set up. Romantic candle light? Check. A charcuterie board with five different foreign cheeses and premium meats that I spent a suspicious amount of time selecting at the farmer's market? Check. Five glasses for five different wine pairings to go (hopefully) perfectly with the meticulously selected food? Check.

White Peonies
The bottle had been on the counter for weeks. I was never one to get terribly drunk. I barely even participated in casual drinking— besides, I knew what wine would do to me, especially a good bottle of merlot. I could hardly help myself as my nerves were strung too high, my stomach all in knots— just one glass.

A Night Of Fine And Sweet Red Wine!
It was 6:03 p.m I had just punched out at work to go home for the day. I was looking forward to the weekend and to unwind and incorporate a little bit of self care and relaxation into my days until the next work week on monday.

The Winemakers Guide to Falling in Love
Cherie felt like a salted caramel; sampled and replaced, then perhaps traded for a maraschino cherry. Online dating is, to quote Forrest Gump, one big box of chocolates without a five-star rating system, or a comment section equivalent to Trip Advisor. And one shouldn’t assume that making a date stops the date-ee from scrolling to the next gourmet chocolate in waiting. Cherie knew she might be seen as plain among the forest of false eyelashes and a seductive mountain range of cleavage peep shows. She hadn’t resorted to that type of self-promotion. She herself wasn’t looking to endlessly compare truffles to creams; just a good guy to hang out with, a smart one who likes to get outside and have a good conversation.

Mind If I Join?
Sitting in a dark corner of the restaurant, reading the book she had brought with her, checking the time on her wrist watch. 8:15pm her blind date should have been here 15 minutes ago. There was no excuse for his tardiness until he shows up. Heaving a sigh picking up her purse, straightening her slim figure hugging black dress over her thighs, she takes her book off the table leaving a tip for the time the waiter spent waiting on her. Leaving empty handed she thought to herself " Why am I not good enough for one of these blind dates to show up?"

The Perfect Dream Date
The Perfect Dream Date Cain walked into the Italian restaurant, which had the usual ambiance. He perused the dining room noticing the guests who were enjoying the food and each other's company. He then noticed a woman sitting alone in the corner, sipping a glass of wine. She, too, looked around at the other dining guests, and she noticed Cain. He made his way over to her table and asked, "You must be Whisper?"
