Adventure Date
Trinity and her dad was sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast. It was a tradition they formed over the last few years. Hylan was sipping his coffee and Trinity was looking at him silently, as he looked up he caught her stare. "What is on your mind sweetheart? Is it work?" Hylan asked.

mer·lot·ious:
“Mr. LaFrance.” Her sultry voice calls. “They’re ready for you.” I follow the statuesque bombshell down this lonely hallway to a door inscribed with the word ‘Groomsmen’. She opens the door and closes it behind me. Two extraordinarily dressed men in suits sit before me on thrones. I know I am paying top dollar for their services, but this is intimidating.

Merlot and Falafel
One of the kindest things Theo’s father ever said to him, a sneering One day you’ll be pissing on my casket, is the only thought Theo has on the day of the funeral. A rattling, noisy memory, pressing at the confines of Theo’s skull until he’s sure it’ll worm its way out and reveal its ugly nature.

Blind Date of a lifetime
Bethany was sitting at the table of a 5-star French-themed restaurant that was way above her normal price range for dining out. Despite her fun-loving name, she never dated. She hated first dates. How in the hell did she allow her best friend to set up a blind date for her, of all things?

A Memorable Moment
The steady noise of the wood splitter filled the otherwise quiet Autumn morning. Jade stopped for a moment brushing back her long, blond hair while surveying her work. A growing pile of split logs lay ready to be hauled to the shed and stacked for winter. Sometimes being single wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. For a moment, Jade contemplated what it would be like to have someone special in her life. Someone that didn't mind helping and would enjoy doing things with her.

With What I Have Left
I am alone at a Supercenter. You know, one of those big bright all American soul-sucks of a money pit where you can purchase both a decent bottle of wine and a small ceramic heater, plus maybe some of that primer I just ran out of, and oh! I need pullups for my youngest, too. And maybe some extra dark chocolate. Dark chocolate pairs well with some red wines. Doesn’t it? I came here to buy toilet paper.

How I Blindly Met Love
Scrolling, scrolling, scrolling… its what most of us have been doing lately. My apartment is relatively empty due to the fact that I’ve just moved to the suburbs. I’m quite bored to be truthful. The noise of city cars zooming by, flashing lights from advertisements and the occasional yelling of people out and about is all absent here. I need excitement. It’s like I have this thirst to live a little, let my hair down, take risks… just be unapologetically me. Sounds super spiritual, huh? Yes, in an attempt to connect with my inner self, I’ve decided to uproot my life and look for a deeper truth. I guess that’s the best way to describe my sudden change of scenery, but now all I have to keep me company is a lonely apartment and my boxes of wine I got as a subscription to “Wine Cellar”.

The Deliveries
One day when Lynn arrived home from work there was a box at her door. She couldn’t imagine what it could be since she hadn’t ordered anything for months. She thought maybe the package was delivered to the wrong address but the box had her name and address on it. She picked up the box and took it into her apartment. She always had so much to do when she got home from work, mainly take care of her cat, Rosie. Rosie was always waiting patiently when she walked in the door. Lynn thought I don’t know what’s in this box but I know Rosie will enjoy playing in it! So after she got settled she curiously looked at that box sitting on the kitchen table and decided to open it. Inside were three bottles of wine. She couldn’t figure out who would send her wine. Yes, she liked wine, but it wasn’t her birthday or any other special occasion. It was even her favorite wine, Merlot. Then Lynn noticed a card in the box, and in beautiful hand writing it said “From your secret admirer.” She could barely get the wine bottles out before Rosie was playing in the box. Lynn said “Gee, Rosie, we both got presents today, I got my favorite wine and you got a new box!” Lynn just couldn’t imagine who could have sent it. She was divorced for about a year and had not been on a date in over five years.
