She Was Perfect With Him Until One Message Changed Everything

At first, she had everything going on perfectly for her. His attention. The chasing. The gifts and all that.

It was fun and exciting for her until the relationship with the man ended rather suddenly. The reason was what shocked everyone.

Here's what happened.

This lady has a guy who really likes her and has been seriously wooing her for more than one year now.

She didn't turn down the guy but at the same time didn't accept him.

He didn't relent. He sends her lunch every day. He buys her gifts, bags, shoes, and jewelries. Earlier this year, he even paid for the rent of her apartment.

Her friends began asking her to give this man a chance because from what they saw from the man, he appears to be nice and genuinely likes her.

However, she refused.

He wasn't rude. He wasn't cheating and all that.

But that was not why she refused him. Her reasons were quite surprising.

She explained that she didn't accept him because he is shorter than her and dresses poorly.

"I'm a bit taller than him…" and "…he doesn't know how to dress well," she said.

This looked like she wanted this kind of man to give her the kind of things she wanted.

A man who'd just be there as long as she wants to give her all the attention and gifts, but never the one she accepts to be her spouse.

It felt like she enjoyed the constant attention she got and the comfort it brought to her.

Everything looked perfect for her until one message changed everything.

No one saw it coming. Not even her.

Her birthday arrived, and within her, she somehow expected the guy to go all out for her. You know, take her out, buy her gifts, 'shut the town down,' and what have you.

She waited, but that wasn't to be.

She hoped, clinging to her phone, waiting for his call and/or message.

Minutes passed. Hours followed. He wasn't forthcoming. "Oh, this was not the plan," she thought to herself.

Later, her phone beeped. Finally, a notification of a post from him. Things are fine now—or so she thought.

It wasn't about her. It was about someone else. Another lady!

The man posted photos of his engagement on his status. He had proposed to another woman.

She probably was thinking that she had enough time to decide. But unknown to her, the man was slowly deciding, too.

It wasn't what she had expected. She broke into tears and has been crying.

She said that she had started to develop feelings for the guy and that he should have tried harder to win her over.

This is where it all gets complicated. Sometimes when someone is romantically attracted to another person and makes advances, they may treat it with levity, especially when they are unsure of what they really want.

Some may play hard to get. Others may just get carried away with the attractive things they get from the chase, thinking to themselves that it would continue.

However, it can rob us of the most important things.

No thoughts about the person, such as if it's a nice person, loving, and caring. The kind of person you want to be in a relationship with.

But the man may open up to his friends, and things can change afterwards.

And just like that, he's no more coming around.

All of a sudden, they develop feelings. And with it the confusion: do I really like him, or is the reaction all about the attention that will no longer come?

Well, whatever the case, perhaps the question that remains is: how long is sufficient for someone to woo another before they are accepted or move on?
