Kim Kardashian's novel advice: What I wrote about rape culture
Kim Kardashian offered another rant in which she argued that one could choose to be "kind and forgiving" while dismissing the "horrible tragedies of rape." She also suggested the country could focus more on aiding rape victims instead of debating how "sex is perceived on TV, or what kind of music someone listens to or wearing a short dress."

In a discussion about an upcoming meeting with "survivors of rape," Kardashian told "Good Morning America" that if a person's attitude is one of forgiveness after an assault "it sets us up to make bad judgments and be kind of a victim too."
"Do you have a really forgiving attitude?" ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos asked Kardashian, who was wearing a short dress.
"Um, kind of," she answered.
"I mean, look," she added, "if people are telling you that you're a victim, don't be kind. Tell them that you're a survivor."
"And what kind of judgment do you think that they're placing on you?" Stephanopoulos pressed, expressing concern that people would view the book as judgmental and saying he was surprised that it was written at all.
"I wrote a book about all the judgments we have," Kardashian explained. "One of them is that when someone has a scandal they are just a victim, or that people are judging what they wear or what they do."
"The truth is that we have all judged," she continued. "And the worst thing in the world that happens to me is that when someone judges me or judges something that I'm doing.
Kardashian appeared to try to explain the purpose of her book, which appears to contradict many of the examples she shared in the conversation.
"This is why I wrote the book," she said. "I would like people to understand that you can be in a violent relationship, you can go through terrible circumstances, and you can come out of it not hating people. You can be kind. You can make a life for yourself, and you can make a life for the person you love."
Her actions are being judged not only for themselves, but also for others, she said.
"We don't get to be kind and forgiving until we've experienced some horrible tragedies," Kardashian added. "What I would like people to do is think about what is going on in the world and understand that not everyone is loving or kind. And to forgive everyone. To forgive and just be kind."
