Why I Can't Stand Psychological Horror
When you ask someone what some of the greatest hits of the horror genre of the last ten years have been, what titles do they tend to throw out? Most fellow movie critic and horror fan friends tend to say, The VVitch (2015), Hereditary (2018), Midsommer (2019), The Babadook (2014), Black Swan (2010), Get Out (2017), Ready Or Not (2019), It Follows (2014), The Lighthouse (2019) and The Purge (2013), as the best horror films of the last 10 years. Why? They’re more likely to hold these films in high esteem and appreciation for their acting, aesthetic establishment, beats, camera work, script, sound work, and the way all of those were put together to create the emotional tension, and deliver the terror in a way you don’t stop thinking about how powerless the characters were made to feel. And how you the viewer, were made to feel for days!

The deadline was looming and the cell phone displayed 2:00am. The final budget analysis had to be completed within the next six hours or additional project funding couldn't be extended until the following quarter. Man of my dreams
"Goodnight mom! Goodnight Dad!" I shouted as I ran up stairs to say my prayers before bed. My mom followed. She always tucked me in kissed my forehead and turned the light out for me. We moved a lot but they were always constants in my life. That I was thankful for.

Missouri Paranormal Association
Our team formed in 2006. In 2007, our team, Missouri Paranormal Association, conducted our very first investigation here, at what is perhaps the creepiest bern in Missouri, in Brumley. Some have remarked that it looks like something straight out of The Addams Family, while others have compared it to the infamous Amityville Horror house. The picture honestly does not do it justice. This barn is huge and intimidating, especially when you first see it at night, with the only light coming from your car's headlights.

Words from the Ether
Two years ago, in the summer of 2018, my then-friend and now partner introduced me to the concept of asemic writing. If you aren't familiar with the term, it is the term given to what appears to be but is not actually writing. It is meaningless, but looks as if it is meaningful. At some point during that summer after hearing about that, I had the idea to try to find "asemic writing"-appearing things in my everyday environments and objects, and see whether the Google Translate camera translation feature could find words in them. I chose languages such as French and Chinese to translate from, and chose English as the language to translate to. The results are both amusingly absurd and, in another way, unsettling. It is as if there are messages all around us from the beyond that we cannot see. Here are the pictures I took, roughly from least to most unnerving:

4 Lists of the best Horror Films
Horror is the only good genre. Supernatural, Sci-fi, Fantasy. I can close my eyes and click on any horror film and know, that I’d enjoy it. It might be bad, but that doesn’t stop me enjoying it. With one exception, body horror. It’s cheap, tacky and unless it’s overdoing the blood effects (Tarentino style) I ain’t impressed. Thanks I’ve seen house, and a dozen other hospital programs and I’m not impressed. I know what insides look like. Since I watch more horror than I should I've decided I'm the most qualified person to create a horror watch list for you to follow in your days leading up to Halloween. Feel free to pick and choose between the lists!

Chapter 1 A cool evening was just how Tony had imagined his night would go when he was lucky enough to score a date with Emily. He planned for a fun night at the carnival and then taking a walk down the water and then if lucky, he smiled. Putting on his best jacket, he dabs cologne on and heads for the door. Getting in the car, he starts to head out when he hears a cat meow. Confused, he stops in the driveway and listens again. Hearing it again, it sounds like it’s in his car. How is that possible? I locked the car last night, he thought.
