Ranking Pixar Movies By Era
Last but not least in our ranking of Pixar movies, we’ve got our healing era. Now this era is arguably my favorite because it really shows some growth in the company. With the exception of the very first era of films that came out of Pixar this one is the most consistent and the most solid. This era consists of 6 movies with wildly different storylines, most of which are original and extremely heartfelt.

Movie Review: "Fargo" (1996)
There are many recent comedy films that like to call themselves 'black comedy' and there are lots of tragedy films today that also like to call themselves 'black comedy'. None of them, though, quite compare to The Coen Brothers' 1996 Northern Gothic, Fargo. It is the perfect blend between atmosphere and storyline, between characters and absurdity, to create an epic that at only 90-something minutes, manages to pack a punch just like their future films will.

10 of the Most Authentic Coming of Age Films of the 21st Century
The coming-of-age genre is saturated with a plethora of films, each with its own unique tone. From vibrant, shimmering, epic stories of adventure and first love, to more grounded, quiet dramas teeming with internal tension. The teenage experience is unique in its transience, yet also something that many humans go through. Many teen movies take place in a high school setting, where the hallways and classrooms offer plenty of opportunities for conflict and self-discovery. Other YA films focus on family dynamics and home situations, and these are often the stories that hit closest to home.

My Unpopular Film Opinions
I have many unpopular opinions about cinema and most of them go relatively unnoticed by the film crowd. However, once in a while I will say something that really pisses someone off and I cannot lie, I really like that feeling. If you are pissed off by someone else's opinions about film then I'm sorry, but that is 100% a 'you' problem. Film is all about having differing opinions and viewpoints, different ways of thinking about things and the diversity of opinion is what keeps art going strong. Well, without further interruption I will tell you about 5 unpopular opinions I hold about cinema and explain briefly why I hold them.

Classic Movie Review: "Goodfellas" (1990)
Minor spoilers contained within this review. But I don't care - you should've seen this movie at least once by now. I have rewatched this film a few times over the years and with each watch I honestly start to think more and more about how well-acted it is. A Martin Scorsese movie, a cast of A-list actors, a top-tier story and some really memorable scenes, there is no reason why this film should not be on everyone's top films list. And if it is not on yours, then please continue on to a different article because we cannot be friends.

Ranking Pixar Movies By Era
In our second to last era of ranking Pixar movies we have the moving on era. It is a much shorter era than the previous one with only 4 movies. But it is absolutely an era all about moving on and leaving the past behind a little. I think the real defining factor of this era of movies is that the sequels feel pretty far divorced from their original films, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. All that means is that these characters and the audience are different from how they started. And by most measures that’s a good thing. It shows growth and hope and the fact that an animation company was able to capture that feeling in just a few movies is an astounding thing.

Ranking Pixar Movies by Era
In our third era of these Pixar movies is what I call the Growing Up Era. There are a couple of reasons that is the definition I decided on but the first being this is where most of the sequels to those first couple of era’s live. Most of these movies are about growing up, getting older, moving on, taking responsibility and they are geared toward the high school seniors who were the target audience of the original films. They all came out as we were graduating or shortly after.

Every MCU Film Ranked from Worst to Best
32. Thor: The Dark World Thor: The Dark World was released during a time when the MCU was churning out some pretty one dimensional and pathetic villains, so it should come to no one’s surprise that this film gave us one of the worst ones to date (if not THE worst). At the time of writing this, I can’t even remember the villain’s name. And I’m so uninterested in this movie that I refuse to even look it up and include it in this review. Thor vs. Angry Elf Alien wasn’t even the most memorable part of the movie; arguably, it was Loki’s fake sacrifice and how it carried over into the next Thor film. Thankfully, this movie doesn’t seem that crucial in watching to enjoy the rest of the MCU films, so if you haven’t seen it yet…don’t.

Ranking Pixar Movies By Era
As we continue with ranking Pixar movies by their eras (eras that I made up and defined all by myself) we move into the Disney Partnership era. This era actually goes beyond their partnership, this era actually refers to the first era of films after Disney purchased Pixar. This first era of the melding companies is actually rather small because as I have mentioned in the first article ranking these films, I decided to split these up completely by vibes and emotion. And I think each of the eras that I broke these into hold a specific set of emotions or intended themes for the audience.
