Part 43! Wow we've come a long way ever since the days of the single digit parts. We've covered a ton of books, talked about lots of experiences, and even talked about everything from reflecting on reading to celebrity book clubs. I am not going to lie to you, I'm really running out of things to talk to you about so—I'm going to talk to you about how I discovered one of my favourite modern authors of all time: Truman Capote.

Last month, the second season of the live action adaptation of Kakegurui dropped on Netflix. As such, we come to another instance where I have positive and negative feelings towards Netflix's modus operandi. While I was aware a second season was on the horizon, unless I had the release date bookmarked after checking the actual Netflix page daily to even find said release date, I decided to not worry about it and get on with things 'til I happened to check the page on a whim and found the new season has dropped. It is understandable that they would not be able to afford marketing for everything that is on the platform, but it is an inconvenience that I am less than pleased to keep up with when the rest of the anime I watched has a good advanced schedule. At the same time, I am grateful for Netflix for actually putting this show on their platform at all.

Ashley ClousePublished 5 years ago in GeeksDC Universe's 'Swamp Thing' Ends with 'Loose Ends'
Swamp Thing is the third live-action show on DC Universe, following the releases of Titans and Doom Patrol's first seasons. While those two shows take place in the same universe, Swamp Thing is kept more self-contained. While it may not be as great as Doom Patrol, it has been well-acted. Crystal Reed plays Abby Arcane, who witnessed tragedy in her past and investigates a virus in the swamp. She gets the help of scientist Alec Holland (Andy Bean), but then events result in the creation of Swamp Thing, whose human side is conveyed convincingly by Derek Mears. Even though the pacing was slow at times, the great acting makes it a shame that it got cancelled after the first episode premiered. DC Universe did release all ten episodes, and they advertised the last one as a series finale. But it does not feel like a series finale because it leaves loose ends, keeping fans wondering what could have been. This will be discussed in the spoiler section, which will be marked.

Trevor WellsPublished 5 years ago in Geeks‘Euphoria’ EP. 4 Review and Recap
Previously on the HBO series Euphoria staring former Disney star Zendaya, a lot happened regarding each of the characters. Jules sent nudes to her secret lover who we know as Nate, the star football player. Kat did her first cam session with a creepy old man and Rue enlisted the help of one of her NA members, Ali. Other information that is important to know to understand this episode is that Jules had a sexual encounter with Cal, who is Nate’s father, and Cassie, a very pretty and submissive girl, is dating college football player McKay. The fourth episode, “Shook One’s Pt. II,” is centered around the trans feminine Jules and takes place at the towns carnival. There is a lot to unpack, so let’s dive in.

We’re on part 42 and if you’ve stuck around this far, I’m honestly thankful for that. I’m also thankful for all the nice messages and comments I’ve been getting from these lists. I work my ass off making them and I’m not gonna lie, it’s getting harder and harder to think of things to talk about involving books now we’ve got to 42 sections. But, I still have a few things up my sleeve I’d like to discuss. In this section, I’d like to discuss why I love reading Russian Literature and what is so special about it for me.
Annie KapurPublished 5 years ago in Geeks5 Short Netflix Shows You Should Be Watching
In the past month or so, I watched a couple of shows on Netflix that have an average episode runtime of 30 minutes each. I noticed pretty quickly that there were actually quite a few shows that I loved that had the same amount of runtime and were on Netflix, so I thought I would put together a recommendations list!

Ziora ZoraPublished 5 years ago in Geeks'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' Is Just One Boring Fairy Tale
If someone said that you could go back in time and spend a few days on the Hollywood scene in 1969, the answer would be obvious. You would anonymously shadow the onset movements of Clint Eastwood, Roman Polanski, Sharon Tate, Bruce Lee and Steve McQueen. You’d also score a party at the Playboy Mansion, get a look at the goings on around town and even witness the seedy underbelly connection to the Manson family. Well, that’s exactly what One Upon a Time in Hollywood does for us. But there’s one big problem, and it weighed heavily in the two and half hours I was forced to endure.
