Villainess Review: Margaret Olson (Blue Bloods)
The Blue Bloods episode, "All That Glitters," began with Margaret and Lance Olson dining in a lavish restaurant before Lance left to light up a cigarette. It was at that moment that Lance was shot by an unknown mugger, much to the horror of Margaret, who was shown being interviewed by detectives Danny Reagan and Jackie Curatola. Margaret spoke fondly of Lance (who was hospitalized after the shooting), adding that he was immensely generous while revealing that she and Lance were tourists visiting from Iowa. The case takes a tragic turn, as Lance died in the hospital, making it a murder case.
Clyde E. DawkinsPublished 3 years ago in GeeksBook Review: "The Familiars by Stacey Halls
When I was younger and in my school days, one of my favourite books was Philippa Gregory's "The Wise Woman" which is basically the exact same concept as this book and the 'wise woman' even has the same name - Alice. (In "The Wise Woman" it is spelt in the older way, 'Alys'). However, I was still excited to read this particular book in order to see what it borrowed, what it stole and what it changed and the first thing I noticed is that it is told from the point of view of the woman who is going to have the child, which was interesting. Another thing I noticed is that there is far more dialogue than what I am used to but it never felt like the dialogue was put there for no reason - every conversation, every word said had some sort of purpose to push the story forwards.
Annie KapurPublished 3 years ago in Geeks10 Times the show Greys Anatomy shed some light on important topics.
1. Mental health – in season 16, Jo, a woman who was abandoned by her mom when she was five days old, had a very rough childhood living in her car as a teen and then was in an abusive relationship which she got out of, had left to find her mom. Once she discovered her mom, her mom revealed that she was raped by her dad and got pregnant, and her mom wanted nothing to do with her because she looked too much like her dad. This made Jo, understandably, spiral into depression, not going to work, just staying in bed; it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Eventually, with the help of her husband and friends, she checked herself into a mental health institute and took steps to get better.

Steven LeitmanPublished 3 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "Nomadland"
Nomadland was released in 2020 with not a lot of publicity until recently. It's a movie that wouldn't appeal to all tastes but has very interesting and deep concepts. As I watched the movie I continued to understand different messages of what it was trying to say to the audience. It's too bad these movies aren't commercial successes. The industry would feel much more diverse with companies willing to take chances on different types of stories.

Entering its fourth season (and already renewed for a fifth), The Handmaid's Tale picks up where season three ended, following a severely wounded June Osborne being rescued by fellow Handmaids and taken to a safe house to recover from her injuries. The season starts off strong, fast paced, and spares not a single character from the harsh and tyrannical theocracy that is Gilead. Elisabeth Moss, who portrays June Osborne, makes her directorial debut with the third and tragic episode.

Within the last couple of years, I have started to get into comics. Comics are great, and I have learned that there is something for everyone. I know what you’re thinking, well I mean yea they’re fine but I’m not that into superheroes, I’ll just stick with books. What with all the movies and tv shows superheroes have flown into mainstream entertainment and they are dragging their paper counterparts along with them. Which is a good thing. Really. Being a nerd is more in the vogue then it has ever been.
