My Journey Starts Here
I'm 37 and life still doesn't quite make sense to me. I'm starting to think that maybe it never really will lol. I've had to do a lot of evaluating my life throughout the years and I can say that perhaps I am becoming... I am not quite sure I'm there yet, but I am on my way. I am sure everyone feels like this at one point in their lives.

The Time I Accidentally Took a Girl to Prom. AI-Generated.
At least, it wasn't supposed to be. My secondary school was an international school, and every year we had a prom. By the time I reached Form 5, I figured I might as well go. Most of my friends were attending, and it felt like one of those experiences you were supposed to have before graduating.

Sorry, I fell in Love
Sorry for falling in love. Did I have a choice, at all? I fell so far, for you, that eternity began, and the debris that clung onto me like barnacles on the hull of a ship, fell off and drifted away. A confession is all. No good-well wishes. No regrets. No missing you. With you, I found an escape away from all except man and woman, enjoying the nighttime while civilization spiraled away. Two left behind, when the dust rose above cracked concrete and twisted steel, standing in exile from Eden.

The Wallet on the Empty Train
I never expected a forgotten wallet to change the way I looked at humanity. Three years ago, I was working the night shift at a small warehouse on the outskirts of the city. The pay was barely enough to cover rent, groceries, and the occasional bus ticket. Every month felt like a race against unpaid bills.

How I Deal With Overthinking. AI-Generated.
How I Deal With Overthinking is something I never thought I’d be able to explain in a calm, structured way. For years, it felt less like something I did and more like something that happened to me. My mind would latch onto a thought, then spiral into a dozen variations of it. Worst-case scenarios, imagined conversations, regrets from years ago — all of it would show up at once, usually at the worst possible time, like when I was trying to sleep or simply relax.

Delayed
Introduction Here's a thing. You are away for a weekend, that's a set number of days. You book accommodation, travel, take enough clothes and stuff you need for the duration, so you are ready for a good break away. Of course this could be work rather than pleasure but then something happens to throw a spanner in the works.

45 Years of Smoking Was Long Enough
When I was around 12 years old, I started sneaking my father's cigarettes. I was just a curious kid, doing what kids do, never once thinking about where that first cigarette might lead me. At the time, I had absolutely no idea I would still be smoking nearly 45 years later. It never crossed my mind. Like most kids, I wasn't thinking about addiction, health problems, or the possibility that a habit I picked up out of curiosity would stay with me for almost half a century.

The Imposter Syndrome Is Strong In This One
Introduction I write these pieces every so often when I feel that my work is rubbish and not worth sharing. One of the reasons I write them is for others who may feel the same, although when you feel like this you feel that you are the only one, despite assurances from peers and friends. So I will leap on without further ado and try to keep positive.

The World in a State of Rising Tension
The World in a State of Rising Tension In today’s world, the sense of global security feels more fragile than it has been for many years. Ongoing wars, regional conflicts, and political tensions are creating an atmosphere where many people believe the world is moving into a “dangerous mode.” One of the most discussed and sensitive conflicts contributing to this situation is the Israel–Palestine conflict, which continues to affect not only the Middle East but also global politics, economics, and public opinion.
