My Top 26 Taylor Swift Songs Part 2: The 2nd 13
So again, dear readers, this is meant to be as close to approximate chronological order as possible, not a measure of quality by any stretch of the imagination. And amazingly the split between Part 1 and Part 2 sees us start the 1989 Era after #12 Stay, Stay, Stay & #13 Sad Beautiful Tragic were my 2 Entries from the Red Era.
Summer’s Not Over Yet
What might’ve seemed as a song for a shoe commercial from New Balance, actually turned out to be a new single from Jaden Smith. Cabin Fever is the new single by Jaden Smith. The “ICON living” has hinted his followers with new material as it seems he has started working on a third album. But for now, let’s focus on the newly released single.
My Obsession:
Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" I’m not here to argue that “Brown Eyed Girl” is a great song—you probably know that. It rocks, it’s catchy as hell, Van Morrison wails throughout. It covers four subjects—youthful innocence, teen lust, young adult alienation, and nostalgia – marvelously, in about three minutes
Bill MurphyPublished 4 years ago in BeatMy Top 26 Taylor Swift Songs Part 1: The 1st 13
So I first became aware of Vocal from content creator, Lily Kristian, from her Taylor Swift Twitter Polls Account, @TaylorSPolls. So I thought it'd be fun to pay tribute to that and examine my favorite Taylor Songs. For context I am a Straight #GuySwiftie Married to my Wonderful Wife of nearly 6 Years now, so it should be a unique list. But in some ways that's the beauty of it. If every Swiftie put their mind to it to do this list it'd take you a long time to find any identical lists. Way back in the day when we only had Taylor Swift, Fearless, & Speak Now I had a definitive Top 13 Taylor Swift Songs, but as time and albums go on it becomes insanely hard to crack that list. So we've doubled it to 26, and tbh kind of tacked on to 31 with our Runners Up. So without further adieu, and on this subject definitely not Freddy Adu, here's the 5 Runners Up and 1st 13 of the Top 26 in approximate chronological order.

Leigh HooperPublished 4 years ago in BeatKpop Review: Somi's "What You Waiting For"
YG's newest princess made her comeback on July 22nd with her bubbly single, "What You Waiting For." The Song: I think this was a really strong comeback for Somi and fit her style and youthfulness well. I personally like it a lot better than her debut, as it was more subtle and less in your face. "Birthday" was a little too much like Taylor Swift's "Me!" for my liking. Teddy, YG's main producer, tends to lean more towards the mainstream pop side of music with very hard-hitting backing instrumentation. While this song isn't anything too far out of Teddy's comfort zone, it is a lot lighter and more unique than just being a carbon copy of a Blackpink song which is a carbon copy of a 2ne1 song. (Not saying that's a bad thing! Teddy just has a very specific genre that he produces.)
Veronica TraggiaiPublished 4 years ago in BeatKpop Review: Lee Hi's "Holo"
Former YG soloist, Lee Hi, is back with an emotional single to pull at your heartstrings. The Song: This song is very heartfelt and melancholy and it fit well with Lee Hi's naturally soulful voice. You could really feel the emotion coming through. The lyrics focus heavily on loneliness as well as the idea that while the healing process after a loved one leaves your life is a long one, it is one that will happen eventually. It is quite a sad song, but hopeful at the same time. This contrast fit the theme well I think because it reinforced the idea that while there will be times that you feel defeated, hope is always out there.
Veronica TraggiaiPublished 4 years ago in BeatHow Bizzy Bone Black Milk song saved Hip Hop
2020 is the year hip hop comes back to life. After hip hop almost died these past years with a bunch of trash of mumble and autotune music. Bizzy Bone strikes back with the amazing Black Milk song and brings hip hop back to life. This should be no surprise as Bizzy Bone is from the legendary group Bone Thugs N Harmony. This track is just what hip hop needed and I will tell you why in this article.
The Sinister PenPublished 4 years ago in BeatKpop Review: EXO-SC's "1 Billion Views"
EXO's lovable subunit, EXO SC, is back with a fun new track - as well as music videos for a b-side and a solo song for each member! While they had a total of four releases for this comeback, for this review I will be focusing on their main single, "1 Billion Views."
Veronica TraggiaiPublished 4 years ago in BeatIs Every Breath You Take really that great?
When I was going on one of my eight o clock at night drives, the song Every Breath You Take by The Police came on my car stereo.
Samantha ParrishPublished 4 years ago in BeatKpop Review: "Play" by Chunha feat. Changmo
Chungha is back with another infectious dance hit guaranteed to please fans! The Song: This is a great summer song that makes you want to dance, even in the ever-rising temperatures. While it is not my favorite of Chungha's singles so far, I know it will grow on me. It's just not the most memorable song for me. While songs like "Gotta Go" and "Stay Tonight" easily got stuck in my head, it will take me a few listens to get into this one. I think most fans of Chungha, and kpop in general, will really enjoy it though!

On September 7, 2018, the world lost an artist without any warning. Whether you did not know him, or he was your everything, the tragedy of losing yet another young musician was devastating. The music of an artist who passes sounds so different than it did when they were alive. Music from the voice of the dead is beautiful. After he passed, I had to listen to his music again, with a totally different understanding. Some people call that reading between the lines.
