I've compiled my own list of the strangest lyrics in songs I've heard over the years. You may not agree with me. You may think I'm attacking what you deem a lyrical genius. But I am just being a realist. Whether you like these artists or not, these lyrics are questionable and I'm calling them out.

Blink-182
When the fuck did Blink-182 become relevant again? Are we just going to ignore millions of U.S. citizens edgy punk phases in middle school in the 2000's because Travis Barker is being featured on every new Pop-Punk band's album? Influencers and Bands
If you are a musician in the age of social media and technology, you have it easy, right? The ability to record yourself singing and playing guitar from the comfort of your own home for less than $200 in equipment, the millions of potential fans you can reach through social media, and being able to instantly distribute your music to every streaming platform known to man should make becoming famous easy right? I mean look at Justin Bieber, the pop superstar was discovered on YouTube and makes zillions of dollars now. Or take the yodeling Walmart kid, for example. One video later and he's touring the entire country making more money at 12 years old than I make with three jobs at 23. Hell, look at Fleetwood Mac making a comeback 40 years later and trending at #4 on Spotify artists after that one viral video trend. So it's easy to become famous right?

People! Just say Something!Published 3 years ago in Beat Popular Christmas Carols
In 1719 most of the songs sung in European church services were the Psalms from the Old Testament. Isaac Watts enjoyed Bible readings but felt that these songs did not translate well into modern-day English. Watts was 15 years old, and after one Sunday service, he expressed his thoughts. One of the deacons who heard his complaints about the songs that the congregation sang told him to go home and write something better. So Watts went home and wrote his first hymn, and this began his love of writing hymns, with "Joy to the World" being his first one. This hymn is the "imitation" of the last half of Psalm 98. Today it is a popular song sung at Christmas.
