As a poet, Allen Ginsberg was able to relate his feelings on being homosexual and a marijuana smoker in his poetry, achieving the status of an almost mystic figure. He had an intense spiritual life and tried to expedite whatever came to his head, and to explore what his mind wanted to pursue.

Rise and Fall of Cannabis Culture in Amsterdam
Years ago, if you imagined a place that embraces unrestricted self-expression, a place unencumbered by narrow-minded norms and conservative legislation, what might have instantly popped into your mind was: Amsterdam. Amsterdam is still a choice destination in Europe that allows people to enjoy the many hedonistic pleasures that life has to offer. They have the most progressively liberal laws and have continued to blaze the trail in enactment of legislation that accommodates diverse interests–euthanasia, gay marriage, legal prostitution, and cannabis among others–which make Amsterdam a place for everyone.

Marijuana Ads of the Future from the Past
The way things are going, buying marijuana will soon be as easy as buying alcohol or cigarettes. It will be interesting to see how marijuana will be advertised once it is federally legalized. There are innumerable approaches that can be taken in marketing pot. Will it be treated as if it's a health product, like aspirin? Or will it be toted as a recreational product and sold to the public like sounds systems or games? Maybe it will be packaged as exotica, like perfume. Or a status symbol, like an expensive automobile. The possibilities are endless.

Inspiring Women in the Cannabis Community
One of the most remarkable things about the burgeoning cannabis industry is that there are so many women in the cannabis community. As a relatively modern industry, the cannabis industry has not been marred by decades of patriarchy and sexism. On top of this, the people involved in the cannabis industry tend to be progressive in more ways than simply advocating the legalization of cannabis products. As a result of these factors, and others, the cannabis industry is establishing itself as an industry with excellent gender parity. This has given the women in the industry an excellent platform to reach out as role models, educators, and advocates. Here are some of the most inspiring women in the cannabis community.

Things Cannabinoids Do Besides Get You High
In 1968, John Lennon asked, “You say you want a revolution?” and nearly a half century later, eminent physicians and scientists have responded. Sanjay Gupta, MD, Chief Medical Correspondent for CNN, hosted a three-part series, including, “Weed 3: The Marijuana Revolution,” exploring the latest news on cannabis. In an Op Ed on CNN’s website he wrote, “We should legalize marijuana. We should do it nationally. And, we should do it now.” Jim Hendrix “kissed the sky” in the smoke filled Woodstock air, but now “times they are a changin'.”

What is a Slip of The Mind?
I am always confusing my children’s names. There are three of them. At first I thought I was suffering from early dementia. Literally I would have to say all three names before I got it right. Their names had slipped my mind. Mostly when they were relentlessly asking me the same thing over and over again until they got their way.
