Fated Encounter
I could hear the voices from down stairs of the guests laughing and having a good time. I really love visiting my uncle and aunt during the new year when snow still lingered on the many acres near their log house. It was a mansion made of logs and every Jan 12th they had a party where everybody who live in their remote town would come.

I wore a copper dress with an net veiled hat and a fake fur coat on the train as it slowly pulled into the station. As I stepped off the train I looked around the platform and saw the most dashing handsome man I had ever seen in marine uniform decorated with many award metals and he was looking directly at me.

Love at First Sight
The sun rays from the morning sun woke me as the lacy curtains on the window dance in the warm breeze. I stretched and got up and went to the open window in my bedroom. I watched the sun rise over the ocean into pale yellow clouds and a beautiful blue sky.
