So You're A Racist Now MikeyDred
So You're A Racist Now Mikey Dred is the title of this piece and came about when I was discussing toxic environments with Karin Venables , and I thought of the Father Ted episode where Ted Crilley is being a little racist (it was the point of the episode) which appeared in "Are You Right There Father Ted?" , the first episode of the third series , and also the first episode that was screened after Dermot Morgan died.

Workingmen's Dead
A lot of people have heard of the Grateful Dead , but know nothing of the band and know nothing of their songs. There are also a lot of people who have never heard of the band at all, which give the sheer size of their following , the Dead Heads, is at least a bit of a mystery.

The Hospital Run
I’ve probably spent most of my working life in the National Health Service and related organizations, and been in hospital a few times as well. Although it’s the best thing for us , we never want to be there even as a visitor. I have incredible respect for doctors , nurses and support workers in all Health Services where Patient Care is the Primary objective.

The Selkie’s Mother’s Wrath
In Celtic and Norse mythology, selkies (also spelled silkies, sylkies, selchies) or selkie folk (Scots: selkie fowk) meaning 'seal folk'[a] are mythological beings capable of therianthropy, changing from seal to human form by shedding their skin. They are found in folktales and mythology originating from the Northern Isles of Scotland.

To Be Loved
It is a wonderful feeling to love someone , but it is an ever more incredible feeling to be loved in return. I always loved The Teddy Bears “To Know Him Is To Love Him” , but I needed another version and had forgotten Dave Bromberg had adapted it as “To Know Her Is To Love Her”.

Five Funny Facebook Friends
Comedy At The Stand in Newcastle Well, actually it’s six but fancied a fairly alliterative title. These are all comedians I have seen at the Stand in Newcastle (and other places) and to be quite honest, I enjoy watching them a lot more than most of the people you see on television, but maybe it's because they actually talk to me. I am just gonna say a little about them and where I first saw them.
