Hotel Meeting
It had been a few months since I started at the new job. Knew some people by name, others not so much. The person I definitely knew was Rob. He and I flirted back and forth from the moment we met, he was almost twice my age, wore a gold band around his left ring finger, and occasionally mentioned his children.

Homecoming
It had been a long time since I slept in, and slept so well. Even with the blinds shut, I could tell it was a beautiful sunny day outside. Wasn’t an hour of me being awake before I made my way to the beach. Alone, to visit my old favourite spot. It was secluded, an occasional jogger would pass by, and sometimes only one more person would sit about 10 feet away from me, but mostly, I have the whole place to myself.

Homecoming
The thing about a beach house is that you can smell the ocean even if you're far from it. It's funny seeing the leaves in the trees blow in the same wind that brings the smell of salt over to me. Before smelling the salt, I could pretend I was back on the opposite coast, living with roommates, not parents.

Hotel Reunion
He held the door open for me and I stepped into his hotel room. His clothes hanging in the closet and cologne bottle on the dresser made the place a little more his own. The door to the room closed and it hit me, I just stepped into his world. His hands held my hips from the back, he leaned into my ear and said, "kiss me".

Anger
Do you know when you have a good day among many horrible days? Those are awesome. Everything is terrible, gloomy, and dark, until, suddenly, the sun comes out, and for those few hours, life is worth living. I had a day like that not too long ago, and I almost couldn't believe how well everything was going, I was even excited to go to work.
