Cosplayer Spotlight: The Purple Rainger
Last year, I was searching for cosplay ideas online and ran into a particular cosplay. This cosplayer was dressed in all purple and had a guitar he made like the late Prince. I was curious to know who this person was. For months, I was still unsure of the identity of the cosplayer. Thanks to a person on Facebook, he was identified as Billy Light, also known as The Purple Rainger. I recently had a chance to interview him via Facebook Messenger.

Power Rangers at 25
It's Morphin' Time! Today is the 25th anniversary of one of my favorite 90s TV shows: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. It premiered on Fox Kids on August 28, 1993 and ran for three seasons. It's one of the longest-running kids' live-action series in television history. In 2019, Beast Morphers will be the 26th season in the Power Rangers franchise.Almost 900 episodes, three movies, and 25 years later, it's still going strong, thanks to the die-hard fans around the world that are passionate about their fandom. They show that passion by posting Power Rangers related stuff on social media, whether it's cosplay or them at a photo of them at a convention with their favorite stars. With the news earlier this year Hasbro has acquired the rights from Saban Brands to make Power Rangers action figures and other toys starting in April 2019, fans believe that the future is bright.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Jonathan Belle
"It's a bird... it's a plane... it's Superman!" I recently got a chance to interview Jonathan Belle, a true hero and inspiration in the lives of many people. Superman happens to be my favorite DC Comics character, so I knew that I couldn't pass this interview up. I hope everyone enjoys this interview I did with Jonathan.

The R-Word Is Unacceptable Here or Anywhere
Dear Comedians, My name is Texxx-Man Cosplay and I'm not only a LGBTQ+ cosplayer, but I'm also a cosplayer with a disability. I was diagnosed with Autism, which is a developmental disorder characterized by troubles with social interaction and communication and by restricted and repetitive behavior. My autism is mild, meaning that I may find work settings more challenging than an individual with greater language challenges but fewer sensory or social problems. Later on in my adult life, I was diagnosed with Aspergers. As a kid, I struggled to communicate with the other children and was isolated all the time. Now as an adult, I still feel isolated from my friends and everyone that supports and loves me. I still go through so many challenges daily like I did in my younger years.

4-Year Cosplay Anniversary
About two and a half weeks ago, I celebrated four years of being a cosplayer. I made my cosplayer debut as Texxx-Man Cosplay on August 1, 2014. A year earlier, one of my friends at work was telling me about a hobby called cosplay. He was preparing to attend a convention, which was a few days away. At first, I didn't know what cosplay was until I searched it online. When I did, I was impressed to see people dressing up as their favorite characters and has inspired me to cosplay. So without further ado, I'll now count down my top three moments from the last four years:

Cosplayer Spotlight: Wil Busbee
On social media, I get to interact with many cosplayers on either a regular or daily basis. Most of the time, I comment on how much I like their cosplays and seek advice from them. Before I headed off to GlitchCon, I got a chance to interview an amazing cosplayer named Wil Busbee. It was great knowing so much about him and why he's such a great individual.

Cosplayer Interview: Byakuya Shinriku
In the world of cosplay, us cosplayers attend conventions every year and meet people. We get to know more about them and eventually form friendships. In the four years I've been a cosplayer, having that bond with some of the most amazing friends has been remarkable. Cosplay brings people together and allows us to freely express ourselves. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing yet another Power Rangers Facebook group admin. His name is Byakuya Shinriku and I'm proud to call him a friend and also, like a brother to me. It was great to know so much about him and I hope everyone enjoys this interview.

Cosplayer Spotlight: SLC Green Arrow
Texx-Man Cosplay: How long have you been a cosplayer and how did it change your life? SLC Green Arrow: Well, I’ve been cosplaying classic Ollie since September of 2016, but growing up in San Diego, we would go to SDCC every summer and dress up every day. It wasn’t really cosplay back then, just something you did for Comic Con.
