The Wandering Gravestones and Beasts
The ground shook beneath his already unsteady feet, his balance was lost as he staggered, he was quickly flung down when something tugged at his feet violently. As he fell over, he could feel something metal and sharp wedge itself into his skull as his head hit the ground, forcing him to let out a loud scream that tragically couldn’t be heard over the sound of the ever approaching train. He tried to quickly get his hands firm on the ground to get himself back upright. His head was pulled away from the train track, and the metal piece slid out of the new gap made in his head and skull. His shaggy brown hair was now turning a dark red as blood trickled down his neck, and poured into his frightened jade green eyes.

Candle Lit (A Jarod Story)
“Only I can see in the dark,” the voice said, echoing against the rigid cave walls. He lifted his face slowly up, trying to rise from his flat on his belly position. His hands rested on a hard, rough surface. As he moved them slightly, he could feel sharp pains in his arms, and could feel the dirt creeping through the slashes in his hands. He could barely see, but he could hear the faint dripping of water, the clicking of the bats resting above his head, and the little feet of scurrying critters. He felt a tickling sensation on his back left calf, and quickly tried to kick off the intruder. What he quickly realized to be a spider, clung tightly onto the desperate men’s leg. By this point, he jumped up onto his feet, and stumbled backwards from the sudden movement. His head came down hard, it took him a second to recover, and realize the spider has clamored off of him before the fall, or possibly flung off from the immense force. Either way, the man was grateful for the spider to be gone.

Calling
I was unable to think or see straight as my tail flew up and down effortlessly in the water. As if someone else was moving my body, and taking control of my limbs. I could not stop myself as a musical sound pulled me towards it like a lost sheep in need of a shepherd. The music was of something I've never heard, it was soothing to the ears, but would sound as if sharp to the touch. The urge to discover more about this bizarre noise was too powerful to ignore.

I Live in a Monster
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. I know the other “me” well enough now to control him, but it wasn’t always like that. I couldn’t bare to think about all the people in my life that I cared so much about. Their own death caused by another man, but with my own hands. I could still feel the blood dripping down my face, the blood that didn’t belong to me. I could taste it, my other self licking it with satisfaction. I look in the mirror to see the disgusting monster living in my body. To see the horrid beast waiting to come out and devour a helpless victim. Every day I am cursed, my stomach in knots, my aching muscles straining to keep this demon inside of me.

Crimson Eyes
I could see his eyes across the horizon, yet was I imagining this man here? He seemed to have emerged from the sea, his gaze calling out to me, beckoning me over. But what was I to do? He almost appeared as a ghost, and he seemingly floated on the water towards the golden sand shore. What did he want? Why did he seem so different? My brain spun with all these questions, causing my head to feel heavy and wanting to fall off.
