A Gift of Ice and Snow; Chapter 4
I blink at my ceiling. What an odd dream. When I stretch my muscles ache in protest. It's hard to pull any memory from last night that isn't that odd dream, but if my muscles are this sore, Lydia and I must have danced the whole night, just like we planned. I look out the window smiling. Sitting through the placing ceremony was going to be uncomfortable, but it would definitely be worth it.

Gilded Apples; Chapter 4
Of course, despite being at the largest mall in town with multiple beauty and makeup stores, we end up in the Fairest store. I'm dragged in before I can even protest. Celine and Nadia are immediately lost to me, enchanted by the sparkling displays. With no other choice, I let myself wander aimlessly around the store.

Fox Hunt; Chapter 7
I meander down the street, forcing myself to keep my steps calm and unhurried. The town is slowly coming to life; shopkeepers are setting up and others make their way to their morning destination. No one is rushing about though; no one was in a hurry. They would certainly take note of a stranger rushing through their calm.

Changeling; Chapter 3
By the time we pull up, the small parking lot in front is nearly filled. Any later and we'd have had to park in the lot across the street. As soon as she's out of the car, Ava is working on calling Fin. He finally answers as we're walking through the door.

Dead Ringers; Chapter 14
I stare at my reflection in the mirror. Why did I have a sudden feeling that this was a bad plan? Mushu yowls at me from the floor. I look down at him. "What? You think this is a bad idea too?" Mushu meows at me before dashing off. I really should have gotten a dog instead.

Fox Hunt; Chapter 6
I slowly meander down the street, mulling over everything I had learned. Sylvaine wouldn't be easy to catch. She was smart, resourceful, and she knew how to take care of herself. Even if anyone managed to catch up to her, if they weren't careful, she was clever enough to slip away. Clever and sly. This fox wouldn't be easy to catch.
