Pretty Sure I'm Correct Here
Wisdom can be hard-earned from life experiences and also gleaned from five minutes of checking social media. Just because one of them leaves you less scarred (and that could be either source, depending on the day), doesn’t mean it’s any less relevant.

Counting in Dog Years
Doing some much-needed deep cleaning I pulled out ALL of the stuff that slipped under the refrigerator. Among the very-important-receipts and must-hang-on-to-them post-it notes was a small photo. I flipped it over and was surprised by those patient brown eyes looking at me.

#Wear Orange Day
The first Friday in June is #WeWearOrange day and is also National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Orange traffic cones alert motorists to proceed with care. Orange hard hats guard workers from dangers on the worksite. Bright orange signs warn of people working on the roads, protecting them from speeding drivers. OSHA designates orange for toxic and/or corrosive solutions, alerting users of potential harm and reducing poisoning. Orange is used on the parts of machinery that could cut, crush, maul, or shock a person. 'Safety Orange' is a designated color that is used to set things apart from their surroundings. Orange is the color worn in the woods during hunting season: a bright and vivid color used to protect the wearer from death by shooting.

Hey Now! Reader Insights are on Vocal!
There I was, minding my own business, looking for reasons not to do the evening dishes. I, of course, clicked on my Facebook app and saw that I was tagged in one of the Writing groups I follow. Much to my surprise some of the writers I most respect had shared a story of mine, each, and tagged me. It's a game called 'Whose Line is it Anyway' and the Vocal Social Society plays it often.

Stop Deifying the People Defending Ukraine and Their Freedom
“They are so brave! So valiant! I could never fight like that!” Maybe that’s true; but if you couldn’t leave the country you would either hide, fight, or die. The grandmothers making Molotov cocktails, teens monitoring Telegram and WhatsApp asking and offering help in a war where social media can both instantly connect or go horribly silent.
