Hunting Upstream
This story immediately follows Lockets Full of Instructions. Robin keeps fiddling with that heart shaped locket that Doc gave her. She hasn't said much since we left town. I'm never gonna get used to calling it that. Towns seem like such a foreign concept now. I remember towns, and what's left out there ain't them. But we have one. Doc made that place a home, and we made it a town, and now we have to go to war for it. This better be the shortest war in the history of the God damn planet. I'm sick of this Mad Max bullshit.

Writing About Writing
When I think of what I do that I want people to support, there are just so many things that I'm not really sure where to even begin with. When I was streaming regularly I could point people towards my various channels and hope they would click the "subscribe" or "follow" buttons. I'd like to think that in the future I can point someone in the direction of the page for whatever my next project that manifests in reality is. As for the present, I can only ask people to read what I'm writing, and doing that might be the most important thing in the world.

Socially Isolated
This is something that I have wanted to write for a long time now. I suppose it is something that even once this article is concluded I will still want to write about. A part of me wants to preface everything to come with some sort of warning or preemptive apology, but in all honesty I can't come up with one that feels sufficient. Let's just say that I love where I live now and the people that I am surrounded by, and that none of this is indicative of any shortcomings on their part.

The First Time for the Second Time
It had been so long since Jonah had seen this side of the forest. The snow that just barely blanketed the road when he drove through town was thick and lush on the forest floor. Since leaving for work on the other side of the country he had only ever returned during the summer months, but now that he finally had a chance to come back for the winter he was reminded just how much he missed wandering the spaces between the trees with the snow under his boots. He had been waiting for months to bring Claudia out here and show her his favorite place tucked away between the trees, a small clearing that had always felt like it was there just for him. Jonah stopped walking just for a moment to bask in winter's inviting chill. He could feel the bit of sweat on the top of his mustache beginning to turn to ice as he inhaled deeply through his nose. It was glorious.

BC Sweet Skunk & Skyway Kush
This particular review article has been on my mind for a while now, but I haven't really found the appropriate words to convey my thoughts about the first of these strains until recently. While I am always honest, open, and as objective as possible in my reviews, I'm also not trying to overly critical or demeaning towards any strain or company that doesn't deserve it. When it comes to these specific strains and those of the next cannabis review, achieving all of those things has been more difficult than is typical. Now, please don't go into this review thinking these are bad strains, because they aren't. It's just that a lot of good, bad, and ugly weed is misleading on the surface, and that's something important to highlight across the board. It just needed to be done without sounding like an asshole, and that took some extra time and care to accomplish.

The Hellfire Gala & Mutant Fashion - Ranked (Part two)
Alright, so apparently this whole thing needed to happen in two parts. I can totally understand that. It has been a massive endeavor on my part, and I don't think things have been much easier for the Ghost of Joan Rivers. Thankfully for you and I both, dear reader, she has stuck it out with me this far, and we are now entering the final stretch. So, please, get acquainted with whatever the Hell(fire) this is if you haven't already by reading the first half of this article, and then let's get on with the show.

The Hellfire Gala & Mutant Fashion - Ranked (Part one)
Marvel has put the X-Men, and really all of mutant kind, through some seriously terrible times lately. There was a giant interdimensional tournament series of fights to the death last year that ultimately culminated in not a whole lot besides a new mutant population on Earth that wants nothing to do with anyone. It was called X of Swords, and I highly recommend it. Since then the mutants of Krakoa have kind of just been doing their own things, and that's been great to see. The first official X-Men team in over a year has finally come together, the X-Corp is selling drugs from its flying island or whatever, Shadow King is being predictably shitty and creepy towards children... The point is that things aren't all that bad right now, and so it only makes sense that the Hellfire Trading Company would throw an elegant and extravagant Gala event to showcase to the rest of the world just how great being a mutant is. That brings us to now, about two weeks before this whole crossover events starts.

Ultra Sour & Diesel
Hello again, or for the first time if that's the case, and welcome to me talking about cannabis some more. If you are new to this series, maybe check out this article here before moving on. Or don't. I'm not here to tell you how to consume my content, I'm just here to talk about weed. Really, really good weed, actually. I don't want this series to become an excuse for me to discuss the strains I personally enjoy exclusively, but until I get out of the house again, that's what there is in my cupboard to talk about. And so here we are.

Me, A Cannabis UserTop Story - April 2021
I wanted to start by clarifying that this article wasn't initially going to be about cannabis. The more I think about that, I would probably be lying if I started things out that way, so I'm just going to not do that. It's kind of difficult to pin down exactly what this is about from the outset, actually. Even with a handy outline at the ready, it is far easier to let this become something more like a stream of consciousness than a rigid essay on the merits and risks of cannabis use. The thing is I kind of just want to start writing about pot. I already write about comic books as a day job, and the writing challenges on this platform have been a great way to get the creative juices flowing towards working on my own fiction again. But I could write so much more.

Sunsets Over the Vineyard
It didn't seem like much, the hole in the wall nestled between tire and tattoo shops in a beaten up strip mall with a beaten up parking lot. The really nice restaurants in the really nice part of town were only a few minutes more up the road, but Jack insisted that he had to meet Her there. They had met at a party for some mutual friend that James took Jack to about a week ago. It didn't really matter whose party it was after Jack met Her. They didn't talk long, but somehow James had set the two of them up on a date. Jack wasn't going in totally blind, so he had that going for him. He didn't know what they were going to talk about, but James assured him that they had a lot in common, and that if Jack was so certain about the restaurant then he could at least count on the wine to give him a hand.
