Over the years I've lived in a variety of different places and found different reasons to call them home during that time of my life. At this moment in time, at the wonderful age of 27, I am currently calling Nottingham, England my hometown. But why do I call this city my current home? Lets find out...

Its pretty safe to say that 2020 as a year wasn't the best. COVID-19 brought about a tonne of problems for everyone; one being the creation of a world-wide lockdown. In England, we saw so many variations of lockdown that it was kind of hard to keep up. A Letter to 2022 Joe
Dear future me! So the year 2020 was full of drama and confusion; with COVID 19 throwing the country into chaos. There were lockdowns thrown around in various forms throughout the year, cutting off access to family and friends who you were so used to seeing. You had to deal with working from home, being away from people turning out to be harder than you initially expected.

Pixar's SparkShorts | Disney+ Review
I think I'm now at a moment in my life where I now watch TV and movies solely on streaming platforms as opposed to on actual TV channels. From Netflix to Disney+, I spend a lot of my time browsing the many shelves of mainstream and indie choices of movies and shows at my disposal.

My Sister: The Eco-Warrior
Over the past couple of years, my younger sister has become more aware of how her spending habits have been affecting the planet. She has always been a fairly conscious person, keeping a keen eye on the news and looking around for a better understanding of the world around her. At times this has taken a dramatic turn, with her spending hours on end worrying about the state of the world - yet she comes out the other end stronger and with a solid ambition to help change the world in even the smallest ways she knows how.

The Great Independent Businesses of Nottingham
Recently I came across a sign on an Instagram picture that said "Nottingham has more independent businesses than any other city in the UK, outside London". This Instagram post had been reposted by many of my friends but originated from a post made by Cafe Sobar, which according to there site is "a social enterprise run by local drug and alcohol recovery charity, Double Impact, to help support their vital work with people whose lives have been devastated by addiction" (find them here)

What If I Travelled Alone?
Many a time I've sat and wondered about what my life would be like if I was single. Not in the sense of wanting to be, but how things would be different had I not worked on and embraced the relationship I've spent the past 3 amazing years in.

Wedding or a Road Trip?
2020 has been one hell of a weird and turbulent year for all involved. I personally have managed to make my way through ever-changing months with little loss of sanity and still managed to find sources of entertainment, even the most unlikely of places. Yet, as we enter the final month of the year, it is time to turn to the future, and what lies ahead in the new year.

Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse | Movie Review
Another weekend, another movie is the motto I seem to be following this year, then again what else is there really to do during a countrywide lockdown. Its just a good thing that there are so many ways to watch a movie; with Netflix, Amazon & Disney Plus offering up countless movies to appease my entertainment appetite.
