The Last Dragon Rider
It was on the day my father was dying that he told me about the time when Dragons ruled the world. Through struggling breath, he painted a world centuries ago, when the Earth was nothing but ash and fire, the result of a cataclysmic event that wiped most of life on the planet. From this destruction came the Dragons.

The Neverending Train Journey
Aaron lived an ordinary life. He woke up every day and dressed in his usual plain shirt and simple blue jeans. He arrived at work at 9am on the dot, working through until 5pm. From there he would return home to cook an easy meal, ready to watch whatever TV show he had opted for that week. Of course, he would make time to see his friends and family at the weekends. But he always ensured that the day would end as he laid his head on his pillow, ready for 8 hours of peaceful sleep. This was Aaron’s usual life.

A Sky Full of Fire
There weren't always dragons in the Valley, so it came as quite a surprise to people when they arrived. It had been Old Man Thomas from down the round who had discovered them. The poor bugger almost had a heart attack seeing the gigantic creatures making a home, in what had previously been, an abandoned farmland. The panic that had ensued when Old Man Thomas came stumbling into the village, almost getting knocked down by the postman's van.

2021: The Year of Calm
Its pretty safe to say that 2020 as a year wasn't the best. COVID-19 brought about a tonne of problems for everyone; one being the creation of a world-wide lockdown. In England, we saw so many variations of lockdown that it was kind of hard to keep up. So it wasn't really surprising when articles started to come out of people experiencing declining mental health; from burnout by working from home to general anxiety and depression from an uncertain future.
