Happy Trans-versary to MeTop Story - October 2021
Happy Trans-versary to me. It has been official 2 years since I began my transition into my authentic true self. It has been a very interesting 2 years so far and there is so much I have learned: both positive and negative. Where to even begin?

Dear Evan Hansen
Dear Evan Hansen (a.k.a readers), I have recently watched your film and I have to admit, it definitely was not what I had been expecting. I had not read the synopsis because your title didn’t even intrigue me. Since I am an avid movie goer and I had already watched the films that are currently out in the theaters, I decided to give your film a go after watching the trailer. .

Complex Thinker Assessor
It’s 7:30 on a working morning. I am sitting alone in an empty room filled with small desks. In front of me is a pile of papers, awaiting my attention. Just outside, I can hear the murmurs of the people who are waiting to enter. I steadily lift my cup of tea and take a sip while looking over my plans for the day. My mind is racing, thinking, wondering if today is going to be a good day where all my plans fall into place, or is there going to be an unexpected surprise (which is always something you cannot prepare for). Regardless, I am confident in what I have prepared and as long as the young people outside of my door are in the right mindset, then all my plans should work flawlessly.

The Purpose of Vaccination Mandates
Disclosure: I am fully vaccinated and was willing to become vaccinated without any need for an incentive. I firmly trust researched science. If you feel that this essay will not change your mind about becoming vaccinated, then stop reading right now. This is not the essay for you.

A Child’s Dream
He sits by a window, staring out at a shimmering pond under the hot blazing sun while holding a single photograph in his old wrinkled hand. Wrapped in silence, his deep heavy sigh is indicates he is lost in thought. Distracted, or maybe haunted, by his past. His eyes keep shifting from the pond outside to the photograph. Suddenly, he is interrupted by a familiar, sweet and loving voice.

Party of a Lifetime
I still can’t believe I am here, thought Melanie to herself. There she was on an exotic remote island far from home with a large group of people, partying the night away. It was like a dream. Like most of the world she had been stuck at home and away from her family and friends for months due to the COVID outbreak of 2020. In spite of stay at home orders, she was managed to sneak out and meet up with small groups of friends without any complications with law enforcements or becoming a victim of COVID herself. However, she still missed the concert vibe, that feeling of being with one collective whole group experiencing the same event. With COVID cases on the rise again, she knew it would be a matter of time before local governments would shut everything down again.

Shiro’s Hunt
My name is Shiro. It has been a very exhausting night because I spent most of it on the move constantly. Sure, I took a break every now and then to enjoy some fresh tuna, but that didn’t eliminate the fact that I had to keep moving. I glance up towards the sky and noticed the sun is starting to peak over the horizon, signaling it’s time for me to retire for the day. I generally don’t like moving during the day time because I don’t want to be seen by others. Interacting with others is overrated; I prefer to be alone.
