The Grave's Cry
The wind howled outside as he hid in the dark corner of the old barn. He covered his mouth in an attempt to silence his heavy breathing. Blood covered the ground around him, but it wasn't his. It was the blood of his victims that he could now hear crying for vengeance. "I was so careful!" William thought to himself, "not even the Devil could have found me!" For the last couple of years, William had delighted himself in hunting down victims in the nearby city and luring them away to be tortured and killed. His exploits had earned a reputation and a nickname, The Butcher. But he was certain that no one could trace the murders back to his little farm outside the city. Yet what had been his delightful, hideous secret now turned into mounting dread and crippling fear.

I Remember...
...the blue lines across my wrists left behind by the pen I used to simulate what I wished were blood-red streaks. The pain of hopelessness screamed at me as I pulled the knife down, just a few inches from my arteries, to cut the bread that a customer had ordered just moments before.

Did the Ood Predict Capaldi and Whittaker's Regenerations?
A Healthy Skepticism As a long time Doctor Who fan, I remember being one of the skeptics back in the age of Matt Smith. "There can't be another regeneration! Matt Smith is the last one!" We did the number, we argued, we cried, we wept in the ashes all the way up until Moffat created a perfect excuse for there to be yet another regen.

In the Land of Giants
I was working as a freelance writer on a site called Upwork, trying to pay a few bills and work my way through a master's degree in Psychology. Over time, I received a variety of different commissions ranging from making a bio for a blog writer to developing articles and/or proofreading text, etc. But the one that caught me off guard the most was a commission to ghost-write two short stories for a grand each.

Dear Mr. Kaepernick
Dear Mr. Kaepernick, It has come to my attention that you have signed on with Nike to do an ad campaign for them. Mostly because my Facebook is lit up with dozens of my friends and family freaking out; making drastic changes to their gym styles and posting beautiful, heart-rending posts concerning the loved ones they have lost to war on your behalf.

5 Tips to Taking Better Photos
I love photography. LOVE it! Few things make me happier than grabbing my Canon 80D and hitting the streets in search of the perfect pic to capture or playing around with Photoshop and Lightroom to really capture the emotion or idea that I wish to convey.

Self-Acceptance and Shifting Sexuality
I REMEMBER that first dream. The one that confirmed my fear that I might have more than just a simple *ahem* appreciation for other boys. That dream stabbed a hole in my attempt at living in denial that my 13-year-old-self was crushing super hard on Kyle Shawn (an actor from Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide) and I was totally freaked out!
