My Journey Of Self-Discovery
In my formative years, I perpetually sensed a disconnect from my peers. My inclinations, hobbies, and aspirations diverged from the majority. While I reveled in athletic pursuits, tinkering with the piano, and acquiring new languages, they indulged in revelry, gossip, and the pursuit of fleeting fads. My aspirations encompassed realms of writing, teaching, and archaeology, while theirs fixated on fame, affluence, and popularity. I loved to discover lost treasures.

How I Spot And Avoid Toxic People
I have learned the hard way that not everyone who comes into my life has good intentions. Some people are toxic, meaning they have a negative impact on my well-being, happiness, and success. They may lie, manipulate, criticize, gossip, or create drama. They may drain my energy, lower my self-esteem, or make me feel guilty or angry.

How The Vote Against Food As A Human Right Changed My Life
I still remember the day when I heard the news that the U.S. government voted against a UN resolution that declared food as a human right. It was October 2022 (but the U.S. thought process went back several years, so my journey began much before the above date), and I was sitting in my living room, preparing dinner with my family. The reporter said that the U.S. was the only country in the world that opposed the resolution, which aimed to end hunger and malnutrition by 2030. The U.S. argued that food was not a right, but a commodity, and that the resolution would interfere with the free market and private property rights.

How I Found My Voice
I never fathomed that I would ascend to the position of a leader. Growing up, I perpetually lingered as the quiet one in the rear of the classroom, petrified to vocalize my thoughts and opinions. I never perceived my voice as consequential, and I subscribed to the notion that leadership was the exclusive domain of the confident and outgoing individuals.

How I Overcame...
Public speaking has perpetually haunted me, instilling an overwhelming sense of trepidation. Since my youth, I would loathe any circumstance that necessitated me to articulate in front of a congregation. Whether it be a scholarly presentation, a familial gathering, or an employment interview, I would experience an overwhelming surge of anxiety, nerves, and insecurity. I would falter, perspire, and tremble. I would avoid making eye contact, resort to filler words, and hastily race through my discourse. Often, I would misremember my intended thoughts or lose my train of thought entirely. A profound feeling of inadequacy, intellectual deficiency, and absence of self-assurance would engulf me.
