Ray Of Light
Sometimes, I wonder why I make the decisions I do. I can guide others to success, but suffer from my own mistakes or wrong decisions. How can you not make mistakes to keep yourself afloat mentally, fiscally and physically? How do you keep yourself from fake friends or people that say, “I got you”. They smile and say your best interests are at heart, but it is not you they care about. Be weary of those who smile in front of you to only satisfy the given moment, all the while, seemingly, at a moment's notice, carefully plot your demise and their own raising to the throne of success. When you are looking at the finish line, they disappear from the trenches and all you see is a mist, a fog. Like a ghost in the night, they disappear and you are left to your own devise.

My #1 Priority
Sitting in my business/financial/insurance office in 2002, with my father still by my side, I would have never imagined my #1 Priority as it is today. As it sits now, 21 years after his passing, I still miss my father as much as the first day he left this world and the tears of sadness roll down my cheek as I think of the man that tried his damnedest to clear the trail of life for his son (me). I also know he will never meet the truest of true loves that means more than anything in this world to me. It always shakes me to the core when I even think about it. Dad, this is Sophorn……..and, so the conversation and relationship should have started.

3 Things I Must Do To Survive
When I made initial trip abroad to Cambodia (leaving Las Vegas), life was at a tipping point. I had a varying degree of success at a few different professions. I knew so much, yet knew so little, even after traveling to dozens of countries and exploring. How was I to move forward in such an off-the beaten path locale? I told myself I would make it work and could not give up in a time of change and that is just what I did.

Entering The Deep End
Where do I begin? I found the jungle and I put a piece of the life puzzle together. I never sought the following treasure, but I fell into it. I met my beautiful and loving wife, Sophorn. Sophorn made life worth living and kept me in check around the clock. She helped me develop a broader view on life than I had prior to ever knowing her. She is someone who has helped me along in my journey of life and the passions that exist within. So, it is only right, she be put into the story at the beginning. Without her, my lifelong treasure hunt would have stalled and I would not have become who I am today.

Living Life in the Jungle--Off-Grid
It all started with wanting to get away from the typical 9 to 5 and reconnecting with myself. Not knowing what I would encompass, I researched for a few months on where I should go to explore. I gave myself a few things I had to have, that, at the time, seemed important. Most importantly, I wanted a place with a low cost of living and a place with relative ease of movement (the freedom to go from one place to another without much hassle). The next thing I thought would matter, would be a country that dealt in the US Dollar. I found that there were a final set of contestants for me, after searching high and low, and, ultimately, chose Cambodia.
