Type of Negative: The Drab Four
Most famously known for their combination of industrial, doom metal, and goth rock Type O Negative has undeniably carved a place for themselves in the 90s metal scene. With heavy themes of sex, romance, depression, and death, it was no surprise they were a controversial bunch. Their dark style even gained them the nickname “the drab four”, a jab to the Beatles ‘Fab Four’ moniker. The group was often facing criticism for their lyrics being obscene, sexist, or racist.

The Gates
Like the many nights before, and those yet to come, Ezra Iscariot stood at the Mouth of Hell. His hands buried in the ragged pockets of a dead man’s coat and a cigarette firmly clamped between his lips. A layer of thick sooty coal caked his skin and clung to his auburn hair. As if each reboot ques them to rise from the grave once more and flood our mainstream media. The 2020 release of Stephanie Meyer’s latest novel, Midnight Sun only serves as proof. Within the first week of sales over a million copies were sold, showing how very alive or rather undead Team Edward is.

Preteen angst Playlist
As the oldest kid in a working family, I spent my middle school years alone. My brother was in school an hour later than me, leaving the house to myself. I was relatively friendless and quite frankly; I was a ball of unharnessed preteen angst and anxiety. The solution? Music.

Golden Eyes and a Glass of Merlot
Luna shifted uncomfortably in her chair. It was clear the waitstaff was still eyeing her with discontent. Did she look that out of place? Did she look that cheap? She did her best to straighten her burgundy maxi dress, hoping that the neckline wasn’t a little too low. It would be a lie to say she had worn it before… or anything like it, to be frank.
