I am married with 7 children, 27 grands, and 12 great-grandchildren. I am a culture consultant part-time. I write A Poem a Day in February for 8 years now. I wrote 4 - 50,000 word stories in NaNoWriMo. I write on Vocal/Medium weekly.

Book Clubs I Have Not Joined
Is this what book clubs look like I think to myself as I look at pictures of book clubs. I know there is an Oprah book club with suggestions about what to read. But then I think about how I never have trouble knowing what I wish to read.

Over the years, I have had more than just a little difficulty with writing. I have preferred to read. I love to read. When I told my brother that is 18 months younger that I had started to write, he said it didn't surprise him as I had quite the imagination when we were young.

It’s Raining All Over The World
Never have I ever thought of this song in the winter. Always when it looks like rain or it is raining or even when we need rain, like right now. Since I have been writing though I think more about the impact of music, in general, on me.

As I checked in to the hotel the woman above checked me in. I had to give her my tribal identification and my credit card. When I explained that the conference was paying for my hotel, she didn't have it showing that in front of her. I said I would take care of it the next day and was on my way.

Granddaughters
This morning I had breakfast with the granddaughter on the right above. She missed a rabbit I saw twice in their yard. While in the restaurant, she claimed to see a rabbit. The waitress didn’t know what she was talking about, nor did any of the other staff in the restaurant.

My Beliefs About Leafs
As a child, I was very allergic to poison ivy and poison oak. I would get that even in the winter. A bath in baking soda would help and calamine lotion saved me. I was getting to the point of allergy shots with poison ivy when it stopped. I don’t know if I was just more careful, or if I had outgrown it.
