The Indefatigability Playlist
I think, generally, everyone loves music. It's our solace, our panacea, our getaway, and it can be a powerful well of strength to draw from. Music means a lot of things to a lot of people, and can be experienced in just as many ways. Some are eclectic listeners, right? They pluck and pick at all different kinds of genres without care to anything other than the sound and the feeling of it. Some are steadfast; traditional even, in their listening tastes that date back to what their parents listened to or the music of their region/country/etc. Others are quite particular about their tastes while others are less so. We all have different experiences with music and that is a fabulous truth.

Yes, Lydia, There Is A Halloween
It's August 6th and I'm preparing to get S P O O K Y. Halloween is a big holiday that means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Some would decry it as an evil day that worships devils. Some look forward to it as a chance to shed a bit of that banal shroud and embrace the weirdness within. Some see it as a hallowed event that allows them an easier time to communicate and establish links to the worlds and beings beyond the veil. Some welcome it as a chance to greet those on the other side. These all have some truth in them, don't they?

Nostalgia: My First Concert
Nostalgia(n): a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations. We feel nostalgia when something interacts with our senses and acts as a recall point for a memory bathed in the rosy glow of happiness. When we smell something that reminds us of happy times, see a visual or even hear an old song or movie associated with that memory. It is not uncommon for nostalgia to hit people at any moment during the course of your life.

A Beginner's Guide To Safely Participating in A Revolution. Top Story - June 2020.
If you're living in the United States, chances are you're not completely unaware of the turmoil that's setting off like a firework into a powder keg right about now. Perhaps watching all this has destroyed an integral part of you that so greedily clung to a fallacy of security in your surroundings.

Electric Dreams : Top Synthwave Artists
One thing this self-isolation period has done is given me more time to dedicate to the pursuit of finer listening. Or, to be truthful, it just gives me more time to listen to the same handful of songs I listen to for a couple months with more concentration before swapping out a majority of them for new music. Either way, it's been a great time creating all sorts of playlist for myself, and taking greater chances on different artists in genres I love. One in particular that I am always happy to gush about?

The Identity Musing. Top Story - June 2019.
In the month of June we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. It's National Pride month, yay! In this month we celebrate the proud people who rioted for their freedom to be themselves, allowing us that freedom as well. Whether we know ourselves or not.
