4 Legends and Lore of Washington State
The Pacific Northwest is known for a lot of things. Most of them revolve around the hipster and independent music scene that Washington state is famous for, having birthed musical legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Kobain and Pearl Jam. But what many aren’t aware of is the region’s extensive history of the paranormal. From lake monsters to UFO’s and the infamous Bigfoot, the Pacific Northwest has staked its claim in the history books as one of the premiere places for the unknown.

Shows on Hulu (That Aren't Ghost Adventures) to Spice up Your Paranormal Binge Session
Whether you’re here because you need your Halloween fix of horror, or you’re a year round connoisseur of the creepy, you were probably pulled in by the title. Hulu has officially cornered the market on paranormal investigation with their plethora of offerings in the genre. But even with all the shows in one place, it can be a daunting task to figure out which are actually worth your time. So instead of wasting your time, I wasted mine! I’ve compiled a list of different TV show offerings, all of which are sure to scare your socks off! And regarding the title, I have nothing against Ghost Adventures, but I think it’s safe to say that they’ve dominated the airwaves for long enough! It’s time to introduce some fresh favorites!

We Need to Talk About Michael Myers...
Arguments such as this have been going on since the beginning of time. Whether they be about political, religious or literary staples, there seems to be a silent agreement to disagree. While I’m unqualified to weigh in on those centuries-old debates, I like to consider myself qualified to lead the charge in one decades-old argument.

Universe i love you
Falling in love with the world is harder for some. In the words of Elizabeth Gilbert, “‘I’m going to get out of bed’ is sometimes the most heroic sentence of the day.” On the days I don’t want to get out of bed, I feel the world crashing around me. Expectations and guilt weigh on me heavier than my broken heart and nothing feels like it could take the stress off of my shoulders. Writing helps sometimes, but other forms of art tend to do the trick a little bit better.

Frightening Flix
With so many streaming platforms offering their own twist on this spooky season, it can get overwhelming deciding which scares are worth your time. Well, lucky for you, I’m a fan of horror movies and have quite the bit of time to waste during the self-isolation season. I’ve been a horror fanatic since my childhood, and while I’ve seen my fair share of good horror films, I’ve had my share of poor ones as well. So this season, I’ve decided to save you some time and show you the best and worst movies on Netflix to get your sinister fix.

Promise Me
Promise me that when I die, you’ll bury me somewhere nice. Promise me you’ll stop by each week, fill a vase with fresh flowers each time. Promise that you’ll care for my stone like it was your own, bring each broken promise you made and unload it on my soul. Promise that you’ll still talk to me as if I was standing in front of you, heart still beating, lungs still breathing. You’ll tell me all of your worst secrets, your inner demons, your lies, cheats and regrets.

The Way You Lived
I'd send out the invite on personalized stationary. The table would be set with care, lace edged tablecloth, the finest of china. A butler would greet you and welcome you to your seat. This may be a party, but it isn’t crowded. The table is empty with the exception of three name plates. One being mine, of course, the other two yours. They’d be customized by the finest calligrapher money can buy.

Seasons of Life
Best Friend, Do you remember? Warm days, the sun on your back. Your golden blond hair in the wind as you ran through the park. Bright pink lollipop hanging off my lips while you snack in a field of grass that seems to go on forever. The orange glow off the blue waves set us to sleep as we held each other tight well into the morning.

How Yoga Changed My Life
The impacts of yoga are astounding, especially considering its cliché spot in modern day society. I began taking yoga classes my senior year of high school and have seen firsthand the significant improvement it has made to my mind, spirit and body. Not to mention, yoga is for everybody. There is no body type associated with yoga. Anyone with the want can learn. Yoga isn’t just for the flexible, fit and environmentally aware. The health benefits are available to anyone who is even willing to try the ancient art. My former instructor, who I also considered a personal mentor, once told a discouraged, 18-year-old me this: “it doesn’t matter whether you’re doing the poses right or wrong. Your body will benefit from the focus, principles and undoubtedly valuable exercise.” Now, yoga isn’t for everyone, but you can’t rule it out until you try it. I, however, have found that a lifestyle focused around balance of the mind, spirit, and body benefit me. So while you research your potential lifestyle change, here are some of the numerous benefits of becoming a “yogi.”
