The Templars of Whitkirk
There were signs all around me. They had been there silently, muted by the modern world which had grown and evolved around them. Simple crosses embellished on stone tiles, built into the quaint exteriors of the cottages which had stood for centuries. An old manor house which garnered no attention as you drove on by. A medieval church – one which I had seen its tower rise high behind the rows of modern houses for 28 years – yet never fully taken notice of. And finally, a majestic Tudor mansion whose presence had dominated the landscape for hundreds of years. This village of Whitkirk, which I had always called home, that I had always arrogantly deemed mundane, was anything but.

A Spiritual Journey
10th Jan 2020 I woke up around 8 and walked back up to the hostel to get some breakfast, sat at a table and ordered beans and scrambled egg on toast, while sat there the Australian lady came in with her husband and the young black boy I had seen in the tea room yesterday. We struck up conversation during breakfast where I got their names, Daniel, Jenny and Mylon. i could not get over how Mylon seemed to be in tune with everything and was much wiser than his years, one thing he said to me very early on in the conversation was, ‘I see you’.

Best Places to Cry in LA
1. Your car. A seminal classic. A rite of passage. Take advantage of one of the innumerable freeways and interchanges, and treat yourself to a cathartic and potentially hazardous emotional upheaval. The 10. The 5. The 101. The 60. The 405. The plethora of choices is overwhelming but the possibilities are endless. Will a famous director spot you from his Tesla and realize you are the muse for his new star vehicle while he sees you sobbing in yours? Will you rear-end Kim Kardashian? Will you get rear-ended by the love of your life in the most quintessentially LA meet-cute of all time? Get more bang for your buck from the leased 2018 Nissan Versa that you somehow procured on a wing and a prayer even though your credit score doesn’t break 600. The most important component to your breakdown on-the-go is the accompanying music. The soundtracks to the musicals Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress, and High Fidelity do nicely, but it’s dealer’s choice. And in LA traffic, you’ll have plenty of time.

A Spiritual Journey
What you are about to read may help you begin seeing the synchronicities that occur in your life on a daily basis. After travelling around with no direction, a few months after the death of my dear Mother, I noticed so many signs that she was still with me that I could not deny that everything I have thought about religion was true. Whicht is that they all speak a little of the truth, but there is a connection to them all which stems back much further than most people can imagine. This trip confirmed my spirituality and the truth that we are here for a reason.
