I am a Feminist Republican
Since the dawn of Donald Trump's reign, people have been put into boxes based on face values. If you are a woman and want your rights, you must be a Democrat. Right? Right?? Actually, as oppposed to popular opinion, you don't have to be an extremist and follow every single point on the platform of a party. In fact, I don't think there is anyone who isn't a terrorist who stands firm on either side of the spectrum.

White America Needs to Stop Looking for Loopholes
Do you think wayward politicians will somehow see the light soon and stop being so extremist and authoritative? Do you expect them to finally find some compassion within themselves to reverse their attempts to oppress and squeeze the life out of diverse citizens? Not going to happen.

Classic War Films That Need a Reboot
Seemingly every other movie these days is a superhero flick or remake, but there is one classic genre that doesn't often get the updated treatment—the war film. Some of the greatest cinematic masterpieces have been war movies, but imagine them with a 21st-century update? The special effects for the battle scenes alone would be worth checking out.

The Good Ole Boys Club: An Antiquated System That No Longer Belongs In America
The Good ole boys club is a club where men like Roy Moore are protected and get away with despicable behavior. This club has been in America for centuries, it was created during an era where only men who look like Roy Moore had sole authority and was the only governing force in our nation. Furthermore, the good ole boys club has a negative connotation to it because men like Roy Moore, who violate women, are always protected and are never punished for the decorum. Roy Moore is the example of a serial predator and is part of the hypocrisy of white right-wingers who claim to “fight for the unborn”, but fail to protect the innocent that are living. In 2017, America is literally fighting over whether or not a child molester should be elected to the U.S. Senate, a position in which Roy Moore will have the ability to create and pass laws governing millions of people. This good ole boys club is responsible for the turmoil our nation is going through and the trauma it has caused to innocent people. The good ole boys club does not belong in our society and Roy Moore does not belong in the U.S. Senate.

The "Magic" of White Men, White Women and Whiteness
Yeah I said it. White people have their own Magic. It just... isn't actual magic. I have come to the conclusion that white men look better on TV than they do in real life. This conclusion is based on observations of the media vs reality. It is also based on how the glassy expectations of white people (set by white people) were shattered by the hard hands of real life and truth. Back when I was in Africa, anytime I saw a white man, he was always portrayed as the hero, the successful businessman, the clever detective, the handsome romantic, the one who saved the "savages" (Africans and Native Americans) and in many more "positive" roles. There was nothing the white man could not do according to the (whitewashed and neo-colonized) media. Heck, you see white men in stories they had nothing to do with come out as the glorified hero, i.e. a white dude magically out bested every Chinese solider in a martial art that the Chinese have practiced for hundreds of years... in just two to three months (what the fuck?!). So of course I thought white men were magical creatures, I mean they were on TV, so it had to be true. I just had to go to America to end up with one for the rest of my life. Then I came to America... and let's say it was a big ass disappointment.

I Love and Hate You
HANNAH'S POV "I need to leave, get out and away!" I screamed in my head as my father kicked me again. I tried to get up but every time I tried he would kick me down again. He pulled out a knife and ran its cold blade along my arm until it was just above my elbow. I could feel the tip digging into my skin, I screamed out in pain as he dug in and dragged it up my arm until it met my shoulder.
