Things You Only Understand If Your Spouse Is Deployed
No deployment is the same, but some of the struggles that military families go through are universal. Though it's challenging to go through this time period, it is nice to know that you are not alone in your feelings. There are obvious ups and downs of being a military family member, and knowing that many people are on a similar path to yours makes it that much more bareable. These are some of the things you only understand if your spouse is deployed.

Thank you. Just, thank you. In the past year we have seen some horrific atrocities occur to the LGBT community. Whether it be fathers murdering their own son for being gay or the horrific allegations in Chechnya, this has certainly been a dark year for the rights of homosexuals, transgenders, and many others who identify with a different gender or sexual identity and unfortunately have to pay a sickly price for it in this society, in a world where there should be none.

Blood Princess
The pitch black sky turned the whole Kingdom dim and shadowy, the mass numbered stars doing nothing to illuminate the darkness. Flowers sleep in the dark as the galloping of a dark horse treading encoded through the place I call home. The men guarding me carried swords and shields of steel and iron.
