Endless Love
Alex was content with himself as he walked into Lyla’s room; it was still dark inside, so he guided himself over to Lyla’s bed with the light from his phone. He walked quietly so as not to wake her up. When he reached the bed, he slid into it effortlessly and curled up next to Lyla; he had been giddy with excitement about the good news he had for Lyla, and caused Lyla to wake from her sleep.

When I opened the photo album, which was already a bit worn out, I saw many familiar faces, but they looked so strange that I couldn't recall everyone's name with all my efforts. That is a photo of the students in junior high and high school, only a few years from now. I always thought that forgetting was a middle-aged or old thing, but now that I am young, I have forgotten too many of my memories.
Karen M BryantPublished about a year ago in HumansI made 5 big mistakes and was forced out by the company I had worked for for 15 years.
The sacking was a humiliating event for me. Even though a few years have passed, it still makes me sad. When I left then, I was sent off by my colleagues and I was in tears of resignation.
A Letter to You
Dear You, There are so many things I want to say to you. So much that I appreciate you for and want to thank you for. There is so much about you that I love. I want to tell you – I want to shout it at you. I need you to know about how my brain works, and then the serene difference of how it works when I'm with you.

About six blocks from my flat in Middleburg, Transvaal province, South Africa was the town’s golf course and center of social activities in town with four pubs, five restaurants, half dozen tennis courts, several bocce courts/lawns, a couple indoor squash courts, a dozen condo/guest accommodations that you could walk out of your sliding glass doors right onto the first tee, and of course the 18 hole golf course where this event took place.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt absolute and complete peace. I’ve felt moments of a cold, calm wave, disguised as peace. Yet, with every wave that hits you, the sound of the wave smacking hard into your body can be heard. All you are left with is the sight of the wave going back into the ocean, you are left standing there, freezing the wind sending goosebumps all across your body. You begin to yearn for another wave just for a minute or moment of peace, although after you know you’ll be left standing there feeling only the goosebumps the wave left behind. Once you realize this you lay on the sand in the sun, you begin to think about the wave hitting your body thinking “it wasn’t so bad” and you’ll eventually go in again, you’ll miss the anticipation of seeing the wave the thrill of it all; yet it always ends the same. It’s human nature to want peace, we’ve been told all our lives that peace is a person more specifically love. What we have never been told is love is a wave, like all things do it will die and you will be left standing there. It is my belief then that we must be comfortable with the goosebumps with ourselves with it all. It is a tiny reminder that we are human and any wave that hits us we have a choice, we can go back in or lay in the sand.

Andrew RockmanPublished about a year ago in HumansAs people get older, they have fewer friends
When I was young, I always felt that there were a lot of friends around me who could talk, have thoughts to tell, think together, have troubles, find a scenic spot to wander, have fun and drink freely... At that time, I was proud of my friends all over the world and had a clear conscience for my loyalty to my friends.
