Omar's Diary 22nd September 2017
My goodness. How time has passed by since I introduced myself nearly a month ago. Man Servant, without any consultation with myself, has now acquired a new car which is now parked outside Omar Towers. It is not ‘new’ in the sense of coming straight from the factory but ‘new’ to him and he is very proud of it. From what I can see from my vantage point on the drawing room windowsill, it is a red cabriolet model of foreign design. As our end-of-summer weather has been so mild lately, he has been able to enjoy the full experience of driving with the roof down. I am not so sure that Lady Servant shares his enthusiasm for this style of motoring. Why, even this evening as they were both going out to get some Kibble for us felines, I distinctly heard Lady Servant tell him she was not going out unless the roof was up. From his point of view, it was a dry and sunny evening. From her point of view, it was getting dark and chilly. Her expression of disfavor won the argument, and they drove off with the roof up.

Dear "Dad"
The emotional and physical distruction your existence has possessed on not only my life, but my happiness, has been strung out too long. The sadness I have allowed you to mentally expose to my day to day life is beyond pathetic and repugnant on my part; yet I monotonously licensed it. I have come to a point in my life that it all must cease before I shatter. I must be straightforward about everything now. I have never felt so small and deplorable. The innocence I once was able to gloat about no longer is of existance in my life. You have deprived me of that innocence and deliberately threw it in my face so that I was unable to modify the outcome. I would try so hard to run from the nightmares and terrors I consecutively would retain. It's like none of it tended to impact you, like my pain and distress meant nil to you. You could care less about the conten I would obtain for the rest of my life.

Domestic Abuse & Me
My nearest and dearest often describe me as strong, loud, resilient, and many other terms similar (mainly loud). My patients have referred to me as "firm but fair" and "take no shit." So you can imagine why for someone like me admitting I was in trouble, admitting that I needed help and admitting I WAS a victim was so hard for me. But, as a nurse in women's services, I couldn't cope with what I felt would be hypocrisy. I need to practice what I preach. All that has kept me going recently is turning the worst time of my entire life into a positive experience, trying to turn myself into a positive role model. Showing my little sister, my patients, other women, and my loved ones that we all deserve to be safe in our homes, in our minds, bodies, and the world we live in.

Gravel
My arms burned, pierced by hundreds to tiny knives. I opened my eyes a crack and noticed sharp chunks of gravel embedded in jagged scratches. Apparently, flinging my arms forward as I landed on my stomach wasn’t the brightest decision. I blinked rapidly to dislodge the dirt from my lashes and lifted my head slightly. Hephaestus stood about ten feet away, his ears twitching curiously. He whickered when he noticed my gaze, and shifted slightly on his hooves as though asking, "What are you doing on the ground?"

Discovery Through Resting B**** Face
I have worked in customer service for the past four years, since I was nineteen. I’m now twenty-three and my everyday experiences have not changed much since my first day. I imagine they’re the same experiences that other females have either waitressing, selling coffees, or even walking down the street. I have yet to talk to a man that has had a similar experience, but I’m sure there are a few out there that have had that one customer (or several) that have made their skin crawl or even made them consider quitting the minimum wage job. Because in reality, is it worth it?

A Pet's Life
Being a cat owner since I was born, I was brought up living with a variety of different breeds of cats. Although learning to love dogs, there is something special about having a companion. Even for younger kids, their companions could be anything, but learning to love a living animal could help them in later life.

Must Have Cat Toys. Top Story - September 2017.
Most people either like cats or they don't -- there is usually no neutral feeling on felines. So, if you prefer dogs over cats, then this list isn't something you need to worry about. For the rest of us who love cats, this is something you might want to pay attention to in order to better satisfy your cat's entertainment needs.
